Skeptics in the press corps questioned Trump on both the fictional basis of the weapon and the decades that building such a massive ship would take to which Trump replied, "That's just more fake news. The Death Star is real, we have it, it's up there, and Mexico paid for it."
Throughout American history, Republicans have always stood for supporting the goals they speak up for...then attacking any Democrats who accomplish them!
Americans need to be both vigilant and wary of the current situation as this president is not beyond lying to have his ultimate goal of starting a war against an enemy he has no understanding of other than that of hawkish men who have no issue in sending US troops to their slaughter along with the slaughter of tens of thousands of others.

I got a call from a recruiting Sgt. at work. He said "Why don't you join the Army boy?" My response was "No thanks, I'll take my chances with the draft." That was the wrong thing to say to a recruiting Sgt., only two weeks later I got my first draft notice in the mail.

We have to reject the unjustified use of fear and imaginary threats to the American public as acceptable reasons to bomb other nations. Facts, reason and principle should be the only tools to win over the public on an argument for war.
Unfortunately, since religion is such a minefield for politicians, Americans have become accustomed to disassociating religious extremists from their religion so as not to offend mainstream religious voters.
What we know confidently now is that torture did take place under the Bush Administration by the CIA, that it didn't work or help keep Americans safe, that it permanently undermined our nation's moral authority in the world and that there is absolutely no regret or apology from those who oversaw and committed it.
Terrorist organizations want the U.S. to be so frightened by them that the US elevates them by declaring war on them. Would the US declare war on an entity that wasn't challenging and threatening to the most powerful military nation in the world?
