In the President's speech during the White House coronavirus response meeting yesterday, and especially in the prepared statement, I saw something that I had never seen before in a human being. And I came to realize that every monster I've ever known was just a story in a book, no matter how real-seeming or frightening.

Before we can Make America Great Again, we need to Make Americans Great Again and the first step in doing that is for Republicans to openly recognize and end their abusive relationship with Donald Trump.

Trump wants a war. Before taking the photos and claims we're being fed at face value, we might think about a couple of things, historical and factual, that make this whole incident appear to be very dubious.

Evangelicals are protecting something, but it isn’t Christianity! It is a Frankenstein monster that they have created mostly over the last forty years, out of a disjointed lie about Jesus Christ’s message (prosperity); and reactionary political beliefs. Out of despair, rage, and a natural isolationism.

This week, Trump mused about using insulin without a professional medical diagnosis, as a general preventive. Once again it has to be said, "the man will kill and kill, out of stupidity, until he is stopped!"

Looking at the record-breaking early voting and the higher turnout of younger and minority voters, it seems much more likely that Biden over-performs than Trump, winning more than the necessary 270 electoral votes he seems likely to win at this point.

Trump's supporters no doubt actually believed his surface con about making the economy better for them. After all, Trump loves the poorly educated and they apparently love him. But we all know his real con is to Make America White Again.
