Enough Unnecessary Tragedy, Time to Disarm America and the NRA

Kes, it is my understanding that they are upper middle class. The father and mother are divorced. He is in the financial industry as well as the older son. The older son said that he had not been in touch with his brother for nearly 2 years. The guns apparently were registered to the mother. I don’t know why she would have them nor can I understand it.

John McCain Demands Investigation of His Own Sanity

Murph, it is sad to say that McCain has stayed to long at the party. He has had to many drinks and the man that entered with statue and honor will stumble out and be remembered more for the exit than his entrance. That is sad, I agree.

According to the movie Game Change, McCain will never retire because his grandfather died a week after WWI ended and his dad died after WWII or something like that. Anyway, the old goat is afraid he will kick the bucket if he isn’t a senator. So, I say they let him have a corner in the Senate and let him sit there and talk to himself. Once in awhile give him a “uh huh” and move on with business. Why anyone gives him so much air time is the question. Do they miss Mr. Magoo cartoons?

😆 AdLib, you are so right! There was no way those third class passengers were ever going to understand trickle down theory. That was way over their heads. They just weren’t smart. I mean, anyone knows that when a boat sinks and you are in the water, you have to swim for it. No not them. Once they hit the water, they just froze there. What were they thinking? Like they were entitled to a free ride on a life boat? See, free stuff is all they think of. I bet they even were expecting a free cup of hot tea instead of ice water. They just aren’t traditional Americans!

Good one, AdLib! I’m sure O’Reilly was also blaming those 3rd class passengers for the ship sinking because they were the ones wanting more free stuff, like life preservers. I mean, they have no appreciation, after all the band kept playing “Closer To God Are Thee”! They were non-Christians! And, to think, they expected to get on a life boat without a first class ticket! You have to have been a job creator to have a first class ticket. Many of those foreigners were on their way to America because we are the most powerful country in the world. They heard of all the free stuff we have, too, and Obama doesn’t make you work for any of it if you promise to vote Democrat once you are registered or commit voter fraud. Can you believe them? To think, most of those first class ticket holders have their money in those immigrants home countries. Not to avoid taxes in the USA but because they need it there for when they travel. Thank goodness, most of those first class ticket holders still have their private jets! 🙂

The GOP Attempt to Resurface…As The Tea Party Pulls Them Down

AdLib, I have been saying this ever since the day after the election and the Republican talking heads had the light bulb go off over their heads. The change of opinions is to quick. It is just to win votes next time. You don’t change your mind that quickly when you have been fighting so hard from the other direction unless you are just baiting. This is all about catching votes.

Yes, I am sure that there are Republicans that have “Come to Jesus Meeting” now that the election is over. BUT, I hope all that are accepting their awakening remembers that the Democrats were already in church and singing! We had never closed the doors to seeing to others needs, healthcare for all, equal rights, aiding the economically challenged, affordable and accessible education, helping the young, assisting the aging, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, immigration reform, and fairness in taxation. None of this is a new way of thinking for us. We go to this church every Sunday, not just on Holidays!

Could some truly changed? Maybe. After all, you can’t sober up if you weren’t first drunk.

Time will tell……that nothing has really changed.

Our Oregon News

Our Next Steps in the Clackamas Scandal
Before the elections scandal in Clackamas County last week, Our Oregon filed a demand under Public Records Law for Clackamas County Elections to preserve all video footage taken from the locations where ballots are processed.

We filed this demand because of the long history of voting irregularities under Clerk Sherry Hall, who also has a record of making ideologically biased statements in public. We also filed this request because of that office’s history of keeping observers from watching the ballot processing.

Just a little bit ago, we got word from the County Counsel that we’ll be receiving those video tapes and can begin reviewing them. Because of the high stakes in this election and the high degree of interest nationwide in this scandal, we wanted you to give you the heads-up about our next steps.

According to reports, the alleged ballot tampering happened in an area not covered by the cameras. The fact that ballot processing is allowed to happen in an area shielded from cameras is itself a big problem, but the counting of the vote going forward will be videotaped and we’ll be reviewing the footage.

There are many hours of footage to review, but we hope to share more information with you soon.

In the meantime, add your name to the petition calling for fair elections in Clackamas County, and we’ll make sure to keep you updated.

Well, 6 of us jumped in the car and drove our ballots to the drop off point here in Oregon. Of course the election will be over by the time they get to Oregon but that was 6 votes for Obama anyway. And, 6 votes to legalize pot and de-regulate Hemp. Washington state is looking good for legalizing (Funkie). It is very close here in Oregon. We didn’t have the money to campaign for it, so, probably won’t pass outside of Multnomah County. I am not a smoker myself but think we spend too much money in punishing those that do. Oh, and in case you wondered, those 6 ballots were straight Democrat ones. 🙂

AdLib, I watch MSM and then I get on here and read to see if I should be anxious or a little calmer. (Bito usually calms me) I won’t relax completely until tomorrow night. However, Current doesn’t play the dramatics as much. They do say it isn’t a done deal until tomorrow but they are more honest on the polls and love to give the odds in Vegas of 70% Obama.

AdLib, I watch a documentary on HBO this weekend: Mann v. Ford
It was on the class action lawsuit undertaken by a tiny Indian tribe in upper New York state against the Ford Motor Co. It was an old mining town that government had given to the Indian tribe (I can’t remember the name). Ford was using the old mines to dump old paint not used on the cars. Well, of course the paint didn’t stay where it was dumped and later Ford got lazy and started dumping late at night outside of the mines. The government started building housing there for the tribe and the indians were so excited because these were the first homes for many of them. These young Indian children were playing and growing up around this toxic material. There were people living in richer parts that thought, and they said, these were “throw away” people. Made up lies that the indians were dangerous, etc. To make a long story short, the tribe started developing illness that included cancer. The tribe now has no one over the age of 65 because people aren’t living that long! Ford claimed to be doing everything in accordance of the EPA. Later it was found out that the EPA had been bought off. The tribe sued Ford. Ford claimed to clean it up again, which they hadn’t. The suit took years and when they finally got to trial, it was during the motor industry crisis. Ford claimed to be going bankrupt and the lawyers panicked and took a settlement. (It was divided among the indians and some got $2000 and the most given was $30,000). Well, of course Ford didn’t go bankrupt and they have been having record profits since. And, the Republicans think we don’t need the EPA because businesses can govern themselves. Yah, right…..well, the new EPA that Obama put in had these indians there when she was sworn in. But, Ford got away with it because of the motor crisis.

Murph, I don’t see an article saying “did you know” and listing the information as you have is “bullying”. Bullying is saying that if you don’t do this, this is going to happen to you. Giving people additional information to help them make a decision is not bullying to me. I wouldn’t go in saying that this guy is lying to you but instead just give more information that gives the facts. This isn’t facing the bully on the playground. This is just sharing more information to help them be more informed. However, if they really fear for their jobs, well, the decision has been made.

BUT, my husband came home last week from his union meeting (their contract is up this year, so, they are starting negotiations) and he had gotten a bumper sticker: TEAMSTERS FOR OBAMA. I asked if they told him to vote for Obama and he said no, they just said you can take a sticker if you want. They all took stickers. TEAMSTERS FOR OBAMA, lets hope those delivery trucks to that store have the stickers!

Murph, isn’t this a shame that people can be mislead into voting against themselves. Do you have a local small newspaper, like are usually in stands at the groceries stores? If so, perhaps you could get an article in one. I think your idea to wait a few days and then present the information you have gathered to show how the store owner has been mis-informed himself. Not as a challenge to him but to give him more information so he can be more informed himself. Obviously, you and those supporting his store are for his business continuing as it faces off the onset of the big grocery chains coming in or already in your area. He should see that you are not against him, his employees, or his business. You want him to succeed and continue. That should allow him to give some thought to the information you want to share with him. I wish you luck and I have to compliment you again for your hard work in this campaign. Thank you, Murph, for that and so much more.
