The Imax screenings for Odyssey in LA are sold out for weeks! I don’t know whether to give up and see it not in Imax 70mm or buy front row tickets and hope I can grab seats of people who didn’t show up.

This is LA so lots of film professionals and film lovers here who, like me, want to see it in full Imax 70MM as intended.

Yep, it’s got incredible scoring at Rotten Tomatoes, critics and viewers have it at nearly 100% approval. Kind of the Opposite Trump movie.

I’m going to be honest I had mixed feelings about it, and have been watching a number of commentaries on it all of the ones I watched gave it high marks but there is someone out can’t remember her name but from what I read seems like she wasn’t a fan. I want to see what she has to say.

I’m going old school regarding it, I am starting at the beginning with Robert Fangles The Iliad then will move to The Odyssey and if I have a enough steam left finish with The Aeneid my rest of the year reading.

The one general thing we mentioned though shouldn’t be a negative, everything in the source material just can’t fit into a movieso not including everything is kind of a necessity, it’s just about how one crafts the elements they do include.

That I understand after all the Iliad is a long book and the Fageles books have a lot of material that most will not be in the film not possible so he had to make choices. I understand that part. I think one of my problems is Matt Damon playing Odysseus
