I agree, AdLib. These caucuses are a mess. I would think that a ballot vote, in private, is easier and still better for everyone.

I agree, Nirek. One person and one vote. These caucus make it very hard on many people that would also like to keep that vote private from their neighbors, co-workers, and bosses. A caucus does not allow that.

What is funny is that according to the count, the turnout was down from 2008. So, they should have been okay if they just had the same amount as they had in 2008.

The one to blame for all this is the DNC and lack of preparing and doing it fairly. (I have an opinion on that, too.)

Independents can vote in primaries if it is an open primary. They can’t in a closed primary. In NH it is not a closed primary but if you are registered as a Republican or a Democrat, you have to vote your party. Independents can vote either. NV is an open caucus so they can vote.

I also heard that the Casinos were allowed to hold their own caucuses. That would make it very hard on those union employees to vote with their bosses watching.

Monica, I heard Rachel Maddow comment that the turnout in NH for Democrats was down, too. But, she never said anything about the Independent count. That I found elsewhere and it was up. Bernie got over 70% of that vote! MSM and the DNC are no help to BERNIE!

I hope to be able to get to each and everyone of your thoughtful comments real soon. But I did want you to know I am reading them.

No Funnies but I have a funny for you all. I haven’t been feeling all that great the last couple of days. But, today started off with a scream and laughter. Was sitting at the nook while Jake was making coffee. Mansion all of a sudden wanted under the nook. Now this is a small nook and Mansion is a big dog. He is down on all four trying to squeeze under. We are thinking that one of his tennis balls got under there. Jake gets the flashlight and it isn’t a ball! It is a dead squirrel! EeICK! It was pretty much smashed, like might have first been hit by a car.

So, that put Mansion and I into song, country western style. We hope you will like it. Titled- Dead Squirrel Underneath The Table

Sue, great article that resulted from a lot of work. Yes, it could happen. It did happen. After 9-11, we were lead in the wrong direction with war against Iraq. True, some knew it was wrong but we went. The axle of evil, the “with us or against us”, all the rhetoric you write about. Our country killed innocent people and our young military people were killed. You can again hear the drums of war pounding. The Religious Right are preparing for the Second Coming. Israel, do you know what that entails?
I do not believe in the Second Coming but I do know this: if Jesus were to come back, He would be appalled at what is being done in His name. His true teaches ignored. Greed and capitalism to the extreme was never His goals. The poor, the weak, the children where.

These people are as you say, Sue, dangerous and must be watched. Must be exposed. Their guns are in the hands of people that follow the rhetoric and want the fight. Our police forces are being supplied by the military industrial complex. No war? You still have to make stuff and it has to go somewhere or you don’t get the government substitutes. I’ll do my best, Sherlock, to expose them but I think I will be the subject of another Salem Witch Trial. I do not and will not believe as they do.
