Earlier today I had an interesting interaction with a person who happened to be a Hillary Clinton supporter -- although this same dynamic could have occurred had the situation been reversed I think-- with me being the fan of HRC and her the Bernie person. Exactly what we were discussing isn't even all that relevant. It was the dynamic of the conversation that struck me.
Money is a figment of our collective imagination. Its value is what we say it is, it is its utility that is being undermined by hoarders.
It used to be that we could trust the news reporter to do the right thing. Not so today. They toe the corporate line. Twist the news stories to fit their agenda. They have all the republican candidates on and ask them soft questions and allow them to say whatever they want.
Should Dzhokhar Tsarnaev be put to death for his monstrous crimes or spend the rest of his miserable days confined in a small cell?
Bernie has always said he is a "socialist" with a small "s", which means he cares about all Americans. He wants everyone to have equal rights, equal chance to succeed, and equal pay for equal work. So many times I see where he is called a "communist" but he believes in democracy with a twist of socialism.

Sgt. Bergdahl

As far as Sgt. Bergdahl is concerned, I think he should be given the benefit of doubt. We don't know what he witnessed to make him walk off into the enemy territory. Some soldiers are more attuned to combat while others are less so. I feel that he was overcome by his experience.
Why not ship the oil to the nearest refinery and distribute it from there? We don't need to put a pipeline across one of our biggest aquifers. Both North and South Dakota have refineries.
Guys in Vietnam (I talk from experience about Nam) saw buddies wounded or killed. Many of us helped get them on choppers to get medical help. Most of us had to shoot enemy soldiers. Believe me that is not easy for some of us. I know it haunts me. It goes against human nature to kill other human beings. Oh, there are some people who like killing, no doubt. But I think most folks do not enjoy taking life from another human.
