So, if you grab every book on the subject of Epidemiology that you can get your grubby hands on, and erase everything relating to pandemics; then viruses don't exist anymore, right? That seems to have been Trump's only strategy, figuratively speaking - the only thing he could come up with, during the first stage of the Coronavirus Global Pandemic.
Interconnectedness isn't just philosophy, it is the way of the Universe. Balance, harmony, co-existence; they aren't social experimentation. They are survival gear. Balance! If all those billions of species aren't in balance, then the system goes haywire, and previously HARMLESS viruses unite and turn deadly.
The requirement of proof of vaccination to be in a public place, a fair and reasonable threshold to protect the majority of people and our economy and society, is very reasonable. And it is a very easy threshold for the unvaccinated to "cure" at no cost. It also allows them to refuse to be vaccinated without endangering those who are vaccinated.
Maybe a Real Estate Shyster and a bunch of brain-dead mobsters are not the best choice to lead a global pandemic response?

Aspirational thinking is dangerous, even deadly. Magical thinking is murder. And waffling and wavering back and forth about fundamental issues is to start a mile race, three-quarters of a mile behind.
TRUMP: "I was thinking about this yesterday while someone was trying to brief me on something "urgent", I wasn't paying attention to their boring screams because I was thinking about this...what if I dropped nukes all over the U.S., you know, in the air, so it didn't harm any businesses. The radiation would come down so beautiful, like an invisible hero to kill the invisible enemy, Corona."
It wasn't wishful, or "aspirational" thinking that made Trump lie in the first days of this epidemic. Lies that may eventually kill millions. Maybe it's because Mafia thugs always lie - it's the air that they breathe. Maybe human life is of no value, according to Trump. It really doesn't matter. Maybe there's no reason, and Trump is insane.
The contestants will be randomly selected from communities all around the United States. They will be informed that they may likely be chosen to die for the good of the economy and encouraged to give their best performance to convince the panel why they are more valuable to society than they are a burden.
Democratic politicians are giving Trump all the rope he wants - to hang himself. But that is murder.
