Trump’s Propaganda and the Wall He Wishes Wasn’t Built

Picking Trump as “backlash for Obama” (as some have suggested) is America shooting itself in the foot. On the world stage, no less.

What America Has to Fear From Comedians

Whiney baby Trump needs to grow something resembling a spine, as does the rest of the GOP. The antics of Maher & Griffin are positively tame compared to the crap thrown at Obama during the 8 years of his presidency. I knew who Trump was, which is why I voted against him. The American appetite for stupid makes me sick.

What Would Trumptopia Look Like?

Trumptopia in a nutshell:

Only the 1% can afford anything and they get most of it for free.
The rest of is live either in chicken shacks or on the street, with zero access to health care, education, or anything else.

The Impeachment of Donald J. Trump

Brilliantly done, Adlib, old boy. Yes, Trump will almost certainly lose the Presidency. He’s probably looking at jail time. But as he loses everything else, the one thing he can count on, is keeping his Twitter account. Tweet us from prison, @realDonaldTrump.

MSNBC Blows…It’s Chance to Fairly Portray The SCOTUS Filibuster

I completely agree that low voter turnout is what has kept the GOP in power. I heard people say that they weren’t voting because they hated both candidates. The 3rd party issue is BS too. It mostly serves to take votes from the Democrat. Let’s get rid of the electoral college too … it only serves to give an unfair advantage to the GOP.

The Revolution Will Be Feminized

Adlib, excellent as always. Trump’s reign is blowing past Nixon’s and now looks more like the Madness of King George that led to the founding of our country.

There’s Only One Affirmative Response To Trump’s Victory…Warren 2020

Hey, Adlib, great writing. Been gone, now I’m back. Spent most of my energy on the twitter, tweeting my case about how good Hillary would be for our country what a disaster Trump would be. It seems like our American brethren never learn anything from politics. You would think people would have learned from George W. Bush not to elect disasters. And Trump’s character and record virtually screams “not presidential material”. You would think, but you would be wrong. I’m even more disappointed than I was in 2014 when the GOP got their solid majority in the legislative branch. The country is slipping away from us and I fear we might never get it back. I thought Dubya wouldn’t make it past 4 years and was wrong there too. But I agree with your suggestion about Elizabeth Warren. I think what we need most — what we’ve needed all along — is to unify the Democratic Party. No more infighting, even during primary elections. Save the third-party crap the right wing and present a solid brand.

Have fun watching the four-year train wreck.

With or Without Trump, Republicans Will Lose Big(ly) This November

Trump is clearly has no future as a politician, so what’s next for the Trumpster? An episode of Jerry Springer? A supervillain in the next Machete film?

BREAKING: House Republicans Trapped in Capitol By Infinite Loop

A Moment of Silence Says It All About GOP Policies

Silence is the GOP’s greatest weapon … the only weapon they have left, since they have no intelligence, strategy, charisma, or even a positive message of any use. Make America Great Again? If that’s what you think just remember: the GOP have been making the Federal Laws going back beyond Dubya and extending toward the end of the Clinton years. And the GOP-controlled states are a mess, awash in ignorance, textbooks that replace real facts with GOP propaganda, spotty access to voting and health care.
But god forbid we do anything to prevent every citizen from purchasing all the guns and ammo they can fit on their credit card.
I strongly suspect that the GOP are secretly in favor of all these shootings, as gun violence is the only method to which they don’t object for controlling the size of the population. Contraception? No. Abortion? Definitely not. Health care? Not unless you’re rich.
Abject poverty and murder, that’s all that’s left: the GOP version of “natural selection”.
Just had a thought. When GOP was skeered that Obama would take their guns away from them, perhaps that was a Freudian slip: maybe America should take away its citizens’ guns. Repeal the Second Amendment, or, if possible, rewrite it so that it actually makes sense. As currently written, the Second Amendment exists only as a free pass for gun manufacturers to make a mint off of instruments of death. A law like this has no place in our nation’s Constitution, as it only exists to fuel an industry that is responsible for the deaths of our citizens. Rifles are okay: good for hunting but too big and cumbersome to use for causing trouble in the city. Australia banned its citizens from having guns and it worked out okay for them.
Being without guns a problem for you? Learn Kung Fu. Take up archery. Or get a big knife.
Another good one, Adlib (I almost don’t need to read the by-line to know that it is you).

The Cause of ISIS’ Global Terrorism Isn’t Islam…It’s Oil

The Truism still holds: “The only thing we have to fear is Fear itself.” When fear rules, we are subjected to all manner of ugliness. The demonization of entire groups of people, such as the Muslims, Mexicans, immigrants in general, and the LGBT community. Voting restrictions and other losses of our freedoms. As always, the only ones who benefit as the rich and the corporations.

Anti-Abortion Republicans are Also Pro-Criminals

Not surprising that GOP can’t accept a court ruling that has been obvious to everyone else. The are the same people who can’t accept that they lost the Civil War, and have been on the wrong side of everything ever since.
Losers.

Good writing, Adlib.

Satire Declares Bankruptcy After Sarah Palin Endorses Donald Trump

While waiting for the Blizzard of 2016 to pass, I’ve been binging on the old X-Files series. Today, the Mulder paranoia of government conspiracies producing monsters out of our citizenry seems quaint and rather funny. In our reality, it’s not the government that is producing monsters. It’s the oligarchy that is buying republicans so they can
– continue pumping poison into the atmosphere and into the ground, making the air unbreathable and the water undrinkable.;
– do what they will so that even our food is poisonous.

Come to think of it, Mulder was right all along. I’m feeling less inclined to dig myself out of this snow. Perhaps I’ll just take pretty pictures instead.
Good writing, Adlib!

Why Donald Trump Absolutely, Positively Can’t Win the Presidency

One more thing, Regardless of who wins the Democratic nomination (Hillary or Bernie), I’d like to see them put their differences aside and run together on the same ticket, as POTUS and VPOTUS. As partners, they could strike a balance that would be very hard to beat. Clinton/Sanders or Sanders/Clinton, I don’t care.

» Posted By jjgravitas On January 12, 2016 @ 3:56 pm

Never say never. I was certain that there was no way George W. could win against Gore in 2000, but by hook or by crook, he did. And I had no idea that there would be such a huge landslide vote for republicans in the last midterm election, but that happened too. And yes, I voted both times so I have every right to complain. So no matter who the current Democrat is running against, there is no room for complacency, or for not voting on the assumption that someone else will take care of it for you. That’s how we get screwed, friends. Don’t forget that the republican states have been fighting to destroy voters’ rights in the name of imaginary “voter fraud”, which will place limits on minorities, the elderly, and on youth.
Hate to be a buzzkill, but those are the facts. Great article, Adlib.
