Is All That Anger Out There Making You Mad?

I guess I spoke too soon about music…..But….It needs to fire up this generation ……………If not………all on this post is very good.

OH Yeah…….that is the kind of thing I ‘m talkin about.!

One big pleasure this girl got to do was to see Tom and Bob Dylan at Irvine Meadows………..Loved it.

Hey, always good to hear from you too.

Thanks for your reply.

That Northridge quake was a hum dinger. We moved to the mid South when CA priced us out of buying a house or even a mobile home on land. When Katrina happened I do have to say that the then Governor Huckabee was right on it. ( I would NEVER support him for President though) I was happy to do some hands on help in locating families of those who were dispached to camps here from NO.

That is what it is about. Empathy for the plight of others that are within our ability to be of service to.

I sincerely hope to go back home soon. Again I really appreciated your article and also the ‘right on ‘ reply. I cannot say that often as I do not want the right to go on……silly huh…:-0.

We also could use some really pounding passionate set your soul and heart on fire music !! ( Toby Keith did that about Iraq, Unfortunately) Bless the Dixie Chicks though. Well, bed time…Night 🙂

Excellent article. It is interesting to see the problems expressed in such a concise way.

As many do, I knew these things and they piss me off just as they did in the late 60’s and 70’s. I do have to pace that anger. In fact now it has become simply recognizing that we live in a country that I did not know existed…….not the America that I thought it was….and again I learned that years ago too.

It is stunning to feel like you are living in the looney bin surrounded by ignorance, bullheaded blindness and people spouting Bull Shit all of the time.

I used to scare myself as I truly believed in Love and Peace but was also so very pissed off !! Now with the internet you can really get down with the massive info and also disinformation…….used to be you could just shut off the TV.

It is always so strange that the lessons are not learned and passed down through each generation……..of course the kids do not usually listen to the last generation either as they want to be thamselves. Many of the the children of Activists and Hippies became Yuppies and Evangelicals. Your vision is good and your thoughts were certainly well put.

Thanks for the very interesting points made.

To my Father….

Thank you for sharing your Father’s story.

My Dad was great too though older. My parents lived through the depression as did the people of the time who were not the uber wealthy…….scraping through and doing the best they could.

Through all the years he worked hard and like your own father read and studied the available info on the events and progress of the day. (he had to quit school in 8th grade because they had no money for paper, pencils and books. He had to give the money that he earned picking cotton all summer to his widowed mother and siblings.)

He was a kind and loving father too. I was so fortunate to have a loving family. I miss him very much…He was always there for me.

He found a new life in California and worked very hard. He was a success in having his own home and work. When he retired I asked him, ” Gosh Daddy, aren’t you going to miss your job?” (since he was always so dedicated seeming) NO was the answer, I only did it for your mother and you kids.

He told me many things…..some were, get an education and some work experience, support the unions, and the Republicans are for the rich.

Life experience has taught me how very smart he was. I sure miss him and Momma too.

Instead of Blaming the President, Why Not Learn Some English?

We do have many Obama haters on the left………those whose pet projects were not in the forefront during this short presidency.

Those whould not vote ( as protest ?) in the mid terms who helped usher in the reign of stupid to the max and people hating evil intentions .

They did not do it alone and probably not on purpose but it is like lying by omission. By not supporting hope and change they joined the dumbed down .

Obama has actually done an amazing job. I have never seen so much organized obstruction and BS personal attacks as our President has ben subjected to.

I thank goodness that we have him and curse the media that the right names as left wing ( HAHA it ain’t true) I long for sanity to rule and to be recognized by the American public. I would love to see the GOPTP banished and shunned……..They are un American.

I hate how the media takes a snippet of a whole and presents it to point people into a particular path of thinking ( or not)

Between a Rock and a Hard Place

Interesting article.

What I find is that for decades I thought that the Republicans were basicly sexless. That is not a very pretty picture………or perhaps it is. Now all I know is that they are dirty rats. Vermin that are destroying our country.

IHO I do not care for celebrity for our polititions or even celebrities. What a waste of time and energy.

I do not care what adults do with their private lives or private parts as long as they do their job. I hope Weiner stays and continues to fight the good fight.

I was in Europe in 2000 and the Clinton thing was fresh in the minds of America………Those in other countries were astounded that we are so dumb……so titillated and/or judgdmental and hateful about such things.

Sometimes it is like living in a looney bin.

Pontificating on Pundits

I personally do not watch much news as most of it IS BS.

I want to hear what the president says….then you get the pre speech pundits telling what he may say, why, what it will make happen and yadayada.
Then the speech is given and the squawking flock emerges to tell YOU what he really said and/or what he really meant and what people will ( should) think. Reallly.
Then later, for those who did not hear the speech’ they send out sound bites to influence voters and others and twist and omit to make their own and their corporate masters point of view ‘The Truth’.

Then they turn around and focus on totally immaterial subjects, celebrities ( mostly made up PR ) and those interested in real news really could care less about what the Kardasians, Lohans, Spears, etc. are up to today.

And the Beat Goes On and it is discordant.

Party Crashing

Great article and so true . Over confidence on the part of the Liberals, progressives, and Democrate ( which encompasses most ) is the biggest problem to overcome. We must be always diligent ……….verman take over when we are not paying attention. Or as the saying goes…” when the cat is away…” Let us not lay down our swords when the enemy is at the gate even if they act like they have no brains…………….they CANNOT ever be trusted.

No Mercy Shown, No Mercy Given

This is exactly what should have been done in the beginning…..

No need for war and the horrors of war, no need to bankrupt our country and effect the world economy.

But dumb shits were in charge.

Turn left, Turn right, Turn off

I have to totally agree. You need to smart enough to realize who the possible winners are if you DO NOT vote and what they represent. Now as you say the creeps stepped up and anyone who did not vote because they were in a snit, or voted against incumbents just because……..worked for the GOPTP whether they thought so or not. I tried to tell them also. These ‘people’ and I use the term loosely, that came into office are Socially Vicious and now they supposidly represent us. They do not even know us.

Ah yes, the Smothers Brothers………….Kicked off of TV for their “thinking”. They brought ‘Hair’ to the Aquarius Theatre in LA. It helped to open my eyes. It was so good with the authors playing the lead parts. Ben Vereen and Jenifer(sp) Warnes also in the cast. Thanks for bringing these guys in.

BudgetPOV: You are the Hand that Feeds You (and Your Family)

Very good article. I kept reading looking for something that you could have forgotten and you truly covered a lot of ground. I have always found food and survival very interesting.

If you do have electricity there is am electric skillet that also has a broiler unit built into the lid. The ones I have seen were avocado green or yellow so they were not new. If one of these can be found in the thrift store they are very useful. Actually any hardware that I mention would come from a thrift store. An electric percolator will boil water pretty quick. If you have a single burner you may put on a pan of water then put a streamer, this can be bamboo or I found 3 metal ones that are not foldable. You can easily cook whole meals for many people in this way. Stack the steamers over the water and put the lid on top. I think the Chinese have done this for eons.

If the weather is very warm you can put frozen burritos in the sun wrapped in foil.

Eggs are a relatively inexpensive source of protein.

If you have a place to be for awhile almost all grains and seeds can be sprouted in old canning jars. Use the rings to hold pieces of stretched nylon stocking, then you can rinse and drain easily. If you do not have cooking facilities at all this allows you to eat enhanced protein and if they green a tad …veggies. DO NOT USE SEEDS OR GRAINS INTENDED FOR PLANTING !!! They more than likely have been treated with chemicals and perhaps mercury.

These same type of jars are also excellent for keeping grains, flours, seeds, pasta, and many dry foods clean and pest free. Unless you have to travel all the time , they are attractive.

While at the Thrift store again, search for old boyscout books and other survival books….many of these will give really useful info that you may or may not ever use but knowledge is a good thing.Back to Eden by Jethro Kloss is an old book but covers the uses of many North American Herbs for healing.Learn to make snares and traps. Also look for books on plants of your area and before you eat anything wild unless you are absolutely sure….look it up. If you have to get water from an outdoor faucet…….take the hose off and get it direct.

Some stores will give you boxes of produce that is still quite usable if you have ‘ animals;-)’ and come by to get it.

Well, I will close this now……sleep time….Best wishes to us all……good night.
