Time Out for O/T – Vol. 2

Well, damn, so Phoenix got our rain? It isn’t bad enough they take all our money?

Just a little rain here in Tucson, but it’s windy as hell. I wouldn’t mind a downpour or two, but it doesn’t look as if much is happening here. 🙁

I support my President!

Thanks, Lulu, for articulating what I feel. I just finished watching SOTU on Whitehouse.gov, and am thrilled by it. I sneaked a peek at that Other Site–surely even they would have been inspired by this speech. But no. Damn, I wish they hadn’t achieved so much influence. I truly don’t understand why any progressives continue to go there.

I loathe Rush Limbaugh

Probably no one will see this because it’s yesterday’s thread, but I want to add… last night I realized that had Limbaugh lived in Germany during WWII, he would have ENJOYED being head of a death camp.

Morning Blog-3-11-10

I have NEVER understood the popularity of Bill Maher. He always seemed too much in love with himself and too manipulative. He has a nerve criticizing Obama. Guess he’s just jumping on the AH bandwagon….

I have to ignore the online comments because they make me so angry. Racist and stupid. Any article–even the Star’s bridge column–is likely to call out the GLOBAL WARMING IS A LEFTIST PLOT and ILLEGAL MEXICAN IMMIGRANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OUR PROBLEMS crowd. Really, it’s quite amazing.

The Miracle

I’m so very happy for you and your sister. May the new decade be a blessed one for you and your family.

Morning Blog – 1-7-10

From your word processor to God’s I-pad, or whatever. I can’t tell you how much I want Janet back, and it would be so awesome to have her representing us in the Senate instead of Tweedledumb and Tweedledon’t.

Good morning, PPOV’ers. I like this site for its positive, nonsensationalistic outlook. Here is a positive, nonsensationalistic article on Janet Napolitano, from David Broder at the Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/12/31/AR2009123101535.html?wpisrc=nl_opinions

Experience on Flight 253

Wow, what an amazing and beautifully written story. Thanks for pointing us to it. I like that the stuff actually worth reading over there can be referenced over here so I don’t have to risk getting my eyeballs stabbed by hideous, negative, sensationalistic headlines by actually going there.

The Best Christmas Gift

Emerald, I am so glad your sister is showing some signs of improvement. Keep sending good thoughts her way. It will help.

HP Truth Campaign

Emerald, I feel so bad for you. By coincidence, my family suffered most of its worst tragedies at Christmastime, so it is never a wholly happy holiday for me. I wish you light and peace, and do enjoy those grandkids.

Thank you, Abby. I think the hedging bets or $$$$ explanations are most likely, given how many times she has changed her stripes in the past. But it scares me how influential her website has gotten.

OMG, I LOVED this piece. Thanks so much.

Good morning, everyone. I’ve only been around for a week, but I LOVE this place. And I’m feeling so much happier in general since I got rid of my permanent hp tab. Every time I look at that site my stomach ties in knots from the Obama-hating. How can anyone HATE him? Is it the premise of the founders of this site that the founder of hp is deliberately trying to destroy Obama? It really seems that way, and it’s so much more insidious than Fox News, which is at least up front with its intentions.

God’s Blog – 12-21-09

Excellent! It’s about time we heard from the deity. I re-posted on Facebook, hope you don’t mind.

Un(der)reported News—Weekend Edition

Well, I’m only reporting it here, but on Friday my husband and I bought $233 worth of toys for the Salvation Army Stuff the Bus. We figure that’s what we’d spend on our grandkids, if we had any.

Oh, this is so nice. I’m almost in tears reading some GOOD news about the administration for a change. I recently quit reading that Other Blog because of its unrelenting Obama bashing and sensationalism. This is also such a refreshing change from the previous eight years, which everyone in the media seems to have forgotten about. Underreported stories of the Bush era would usually include things on the order of “Interior decides to open all national parks to drilling and logging,” and “Health care aid permanently forbidden for all sick people making less than 500K a year.”
