Earlier today I had an interesting interaction with a person who happened to be a Hillary Clinton supporter -- although this same dynamic could have occurred had the situation been reversed I think-- with me being the fan of HRC and her the Bernie person. Exactly what we were discussing isn't even all that relevant. It was the dynamic of the conversation that struck me.
For those of you who aren't familiar with me or my work, My name is Dan. I am the simple performance artist. I sing, I dance (kinda) and I tell the funny story. I’ve been writing plays since the...
Hillary Clinton has been justifiably frustrated by polling that shows young women preferring to support Bernie Sanders instead of her. What is questionable though is whether playing the gender card to turn that dynamic around to her favor, is helpful or will backfire.
It seems pretty clear that many "law and order" Republicans support criminality as long as it promotes their goals, whether it's these anti-abortion fanatics committing fraud, Kim Davis, militias seizing federal facilities, police shooting unarmed and innocent black men...and whenever a court finds the truth on the other side of them, they hate on justice.

How is it that gerrymandering is legal? It is in essence, the power to corrupt democracy. I certainly understand why many politicians would want gerrymandering to continue to be legal but neither they nor anyone else can argue why it is not anti-democratic.
I started this as an exercise on my own to determine exactly what values and beliefs the right have adopted over the past few years that would actually threaten the existence of the true conservative Republican party and perhaps this nation.
Baltimore. My city. Gearing up for reaction to the first verdict in the trial of the officers involved in the death of Freddie Gray. To say things are tense here would be an understatement. No one knows how people will feel, how people will react.
Trump's rhetoric is the stuff of Nazi nationalism, demonizing all those who follow a specific religion, just substituting Muslims for Jews. In doing this, he is attempting to sew a swastika onto the American flag.
