Money is a figment of our collective imagination. Its value is what we say it is, it is its utility that is being undermined by hoarders.

Instead of our usual Weekend Music Thread, the historic March For Our Lives has taken place today (and is continuing in some places) so in this post we present exclusive video and photos from today's march in Los Angeles.

Tomorrow will be a defining day in American history. You need to be a part of that history and help to determine what path our country will take. If you haven't already...vote!

Caitlyne Gonzales shouldn’t have to do what she is doing. That should be the job of her two senators, Ted Cancun Cruz, John Cornyn, and the governor of Texas, Greg Abbot, are the ones who should be advocating for the banning of the AR-15 instead of offering heartfelt prayers and gleefully stuffing their campaign coffers with thousands from the NRA.

The NRA agenda has been to proliferate not only gun ownership, but gun use. They have intentionally been putting guns in the reach of the violently hateful, mentally unstable and terrorists, to build an intense atmosphere of fear in this country. The idea is to make the citizens of the U.S. so fearful about becoming the victim of gun violence that even those opposing gun proliferation will finally give into their fear and buy guns.

Some studies have been done to determine the effectiveness of body cameras worn by police officers. Effects on police/community relations and the numbers of complaints by citizens, of excessive force used by police officers were two key factors in these studies.

A war is being waged against us; a real war effectuated by the slaughtering of unarmed civilians by heavily armed ultra-extremist sociopaths supported by the Republican Party and the lobbyists bought and owned by the gun industry.

In the wake of the Orlando attack at the Pulse nightclub, Republicans in Congress had one decisive response to another horrible mass shooting. It was a swift and collective action that came without hesitation...they went silent.

Taken as written, this mandatory gun ownership law would technically apply to children, including toddlers and even infants. Backers of the bill have said it is not an oversight, it was intentional and meant to enforce respect for the 2nd Amendment and gun education from cradle to grave.

Yesterday's shooting at a school in Colorado and the daily shootings at the nation's schools, in our streets and in our homes should be instructing us and yet we continue to ignore the lesson.
