I am so old fashioned that I wish newspapers were still useful.
The debates may remind someone that they ought to vote.
Obama should concentrate on relating to the audience and their questions and concerns.
Neither party – both having a lot in common ( which partisans do not care to believe) – and are part of the system – are very unlikely to propose fundamental change. Minor tweaks fits.The phrase’minor tweaks’ fits.
Sad, but true.
Both performers stayed on script and made their mark.
Both actors got an A.
A draw. Neither achieved separation.
A large number of these ‘undecideds’ may be people who won’t say who they will vote for.
Of the mass of people who plan to vote, the great majority have decided long ago.
The media is a great comedy.
If that happens – PBO wins, the Dems hold the Seante and gain 25+ seats, the GOP needs to revise their thinking.
It will take very large swing to gain control of the HoR.

As for those people such as Will and Ingraham: I am more conservative than they are and I am a liberal.

But, it is worse now. The idea of keeping the editorial page separate from the news is, in the USA, mostly extinct.
I think that whoever was elected in 2008 was going to have hard time getting re elected in 2012. The political class in Washington and the financiers in New York were and are incapable of dealing with the economy. They lack the wit and the wisdom.
That belief remains alive and well in some quarters.
People do need to take an interest and do the work to find out what is occuring.
There was insufficient time allowed for a logical judgement.
Personally, I think that Romney is not much of anything; akin to Dewey ( the man on the wedding cake). After the nomination, he will find out how his ‘flip flpping’ will play in that arena.
The RR will fall in line and vote for Romney; or, stay home.
The GOP may have problems in Nov 2012.
