I’m on Social Security (paid into the system over 45 years). Being on SS does not mean I;m on the government dole! The working poor are paying income taxes via payroll taxes. They pay other hidden taxes like we all do. Gas tax, sales tax , local and state income taxes, and other hidden taxes. Because the tax system allows them to deduct things and actually get some money back does not mean they are pigs at the government trough.
