The Grand Old Party of Sedition

Not all that surprising that Iran’s Supreme doesn’t know his arse from his elbow or his repub from a Democrat when it comes to who is leading the U.S. He just loves to moan about America, and is too busy writing new laws that allow old geezers to marry and molest eight year old girls.

WATCH: Vice Special Report: Killing Cancer

First of all, my thoughts and prayers to you and your husband as I wish you all the luck in the world, GirlOutWest.

I’m not in Canada but everything is worth pursuing and I know for a fact that clinical trials in a university hospital in Tucson, AZ prolonged our friend Bito’s life for many years during his fight against lymphoma and finding a cure for others.

Years ago I read and posted a link to a story about a pioneering doctor in DC who took on and often suceeded in saving the lives of patients everyone else had given up on. So we know that these miracle workers are out there, we just have to find them.

Again, healing thoughts and prayers for strength in your search. Take care.

After losing 10 close family members and almost as many dear friends, two of whom were treasured here on The Planet, any good news concerning combating this dreadful disease, is very welcome. I will watch the whole video later, and thank you for posting it here, AdLib.

A loud shout out to dear friends who went through hell to beat it and survived. Banzai!! You know who you are. My endless love and admiration for those who fought it to the end. You are sorely missed.

EDIT:

Unfortunately when I came back to watch the video, there was a message telling me that it was not available in this country. 🙁

I did however find this which gave a general idea of the content of your video and was so amazing.

Netanyahu’s Alternative to Averting Nuclear War with Iran…A Conventional War with Iran

In the end he discredits himself far more than he tried to discredit the President and those countries involved in sealing a deal. Iran will never agree to dismantling their nuclear project, and knowing that makes his lame-arsed suggestion of no deal even more dishonest. He certainly made no new friends in the world by trying to upsurge Obama in Congress by dissing other nations involved in the process. In fact I imagine his plan backfired and he lost a lot of the international support he had left. Serves him right for being an arsehole without a trace of integrity and lack of manners on the international stage.

» Posted By Kalima On March 4, 2015 @ 4:49 pm

Thankfully I was asleep when he got on his high horse and insulted the President of the United States, the administration, leaders of other nations, and all those of us around the world (a fast growing number) who don’t want to go to war with Iran. Like all neocons, he has no alternative action to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, but howls at the moon against the countries trying to work out a deal. Typical!

I don’t think I have the stomach for 40 minutes of brown nosing and ancient bullshit, so I’ll just leave this Guardian article that analyzes and seems to sum up what I’ve been reading in most other sources today.

I find it telling that Netanyahu never addresses one of the real reasons Israel is so hated in the ME, namely the Occupation, stealing Arab land, and his country’s oppression against the Palestinian people. To hear how he speaks about a lasting peace deal, you would think that every last man, woman and child is Hamas.

Most spoken words by this nutcase; Hamas, Iran, and nuclear bomb.

Funny, AdLib. Makes you wonder if this man has ever woken up with a happy thought, but I seriously doubt it. He needs the fear mongering because apart from killing innocent Palestinian children, women and the elderly and stealing their land to build illegal settlements, what else is he good at?

Hate Crime or Not? You Tell Me

Hello, Nirek.

That they hate the President with every fiber in their limp bodies is not in question. Neither is that they hate him because he is half black, beat them twice and they just can’t get over it.

I posted this on the 22nd of Feb, and although it’s not a “hate crime” it is a fact that two thirds of Congress are not working for the American people and therefore not doing what they are being payed to do. In any other job they would be fired, but in this case the only way to punish them is to vote them out.

Here is that article about the definition of a hate crime.

What’s the definition of a hate crime?

The FBI is investigating whether the fatal shootings of three Muslim students in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, were hate crimes. What is the definition of one and how do you prove it?

They should have a label attached to their foreheads stating “Listening to me can be bad for your mental health”.

“We care about women so we will make abortions impossible by closing all available clinics that still will perform them, and throw you in jail if you have a miscarriage.”

“We care about healthcare for all Americans so will fight the ACA and refuse to extend Medicare in our states.”

“We care about education so will gut the schools and universities to teach useless crap in our classrooms.”

“We care about immigrants and want their votes, therefore we will deport 11 million of you for bringing in the Ebola virus to the U.S.”

“We care about the poor of this nation so we will eliminate food stamps and benefits to make sure that you have the incentive to find a job to buy your own food and keep a roof over your heads.”

As you know, the list is endless and not one of these suggestions or new bills make any sense.

I don’t know about you, but I find that listening to repub gibberish for too long can cause dizziness, palpitations and make you want to bite yourself hard, so the labelling should be mandatory.

Conservative “logic”. The best way to make a nation great is to work against the will of the majority of its people.

So the Repubs who say on the one hand that Obama is not a “true American”, and “does not love America like we do”, love a country that was founded on immigrants? If anyone can make any sense of that one, call me.

“Obama is weak on national security and we are the only party that can keep America safe so we will defund Homeland Security?”

If both these strategies are not from the mouths of madmen, lead me to the nearest institution to help cure my obvious psychosis.

For the benefit of the Teapublican Party, a quick reminder.

What is psychosis?

Psychosis is a medical term. If you have psychosis, you might see or hear things, or hold unusual beliefs, that other people do not. Some people describe it as a “break from reality”.

Why Some Fundamentalist Christians Are Aligned With ISIS

Hi AdLib. Excuse my early morning ramblings. Excellent article and observations as usual.

Although it’s easy to believe that the disenfranchised youth with no future joining ISIS believe that they are murdering, stealing, raping and plundering for a greater cause, I find it much harder to believe this about its leaders. Osama bin Laden used religion to draw more fighters when his motives were later clearly shown to be more about revenge for the snub from the Saudis not jumping at his offer to guard Mecca. The leaders of ISIS appear to be fighting more for power than a religious cause after years of Shia rule under Maliki where Sunnis didn’t have much of a voice in governing for the same reason after decades of oppressing the Shias. If this is about religion then it’s about the hate between the two religious groups and the need for the power to rule under their own terms. The fact that Muslims can kill other Muslims in a blink of an eye, makes ISIS less about Islam and much more about the ultimate revenge they are seeking. After all, ISIS is what was left of Al Qaeda in Iraq and a few of Hussein’s loyal puppets who managed to escape from the U.S. invasion probably with money from the U.S. that was stolen in raids before they went into hiding.

Your observation about the similarities between ISIS and extreme “Christians”, is spot on, and even with the Dominionists the emphasis is more on raking in money and wielding power than actually working for their twisted image of what God wants them to do, if in fact God has anything to do with it.

This will not be solved through diplomatic channels, there is no reasoning with people who behead, bury and burn people alive to use as propaganda in video clips. The only way to defeat them is for more countries in the ME to step up to the plate like Jordan and Egypt just did and show them that enough is enough by fighting back.

Nigeria did just that with their plague of Boko Haram attacks.

I just found this interesting article about the article in The Atlantic that you linked to.

“Yes, [ISIS is] Islamic in that they use Islamic sources to justify all their actions,” Fadel said. “But I think the question that bothers most Muslims is the idea that just because someone says they are Muslim or that their actions are representative of Islam doesn’t make it so. Just because a group can appropriate Islamic sources and Islamic symbols, and then go around doing all sorts of awful things, doesn’t mean that they get to be the ones who define for the world what Islam means.”

Thank you for this, Nirek.

I will draw a comparison if I may? I believe you said you were 24 years old when you were sent to Vietnam by your government, my father was the same age when he was sent to Gold Beach in Normandy on D Day. He knew what he was fighting for. Did you know why you were fighting so far away from home?

I think that history books are very important, but nothing could ever serve us better than a first hand account from those who were there and actually fought in these wars.

That it haunts you is not surprising. That you choose to share it with us here is very much appreciated.

All I would hope for is that through sharing, you will understand that none of this was your fault. It was a government who decided it was something worth fighting for, although I don’t understand why. We have to learn to forgive ourselves for our past, if we don’t, we can never move forward.

I wish you peace of mind, a way to forgive yourself for circumstances you had no control over.

Peace dear Nirek, and enjoy every minute for the rest of your life.

You rock my world, Nirek.

President Koch III?? You can’t imagine how that chilled me to my bones, Jesse Real, especially after reading this article at the end of this comment.

Those who support big energy corporations by voting for those who want to see them increase their profit line, are truly brainwashed because they won’t see a penny of that benefiting them or their families. Seriously, how can anyone be this dumb?

If the deniers actually believed what they were saying, I’d say they were misinformed, but maybe cut them some slack. However to push these lies deliberately for the sake of selling their toxic, planet destroying product, that’s criminal because people all over the world will suffer and die for their relentless greed.

Thanks to the SC Citizens United decision, democracy as we know it will be hacked to pieces unless the right people are elevated to positions where they can make the right decisions for us, the majority. We need to wake up, and wake up soon. We won’t be around in 2071, and that’s how the deniers must think, they don’t care about the future because they prefer to live in the past, but our children and our children’s children will be around, and don’t they deserve to have the good things that we had at one time?

This year I vote to get the Conservatives out in the U.K. General Elections, I hope that in America, people will become more involved and understand the importance of local elections and vote in them. It’s the only way we can change the course for our future.
