Morning Blog 6th Anniverary Edition

Hello Nirek. Almost missed up here at the top of the world.

Thank you for your kind words and for always checking out MB. It makes the reason I do it, that much more important.

Reading a lot of things being said by HC that are worrying so it’s always reassuring to read about what Bernie Sanders plans, and his hopes for America.

Hint: The object in the picture needs to be plugged in to work. The little monster behind it, just needs to eat, sleep and play and he’s always ready to go. 🙂

Thanks again Nirek for your support, it’s much appreciated.

Take care. Peace to you and yours.

Good Lord, AdLib, what were you doing up after 2 am in your morning?

It really is hard to believe that 6 years have past since we started The Planet and I published the first MB, yet here we are, 6 years later.

Starting MB seemed the inevitable thing for me to do as world news, events, different cultures and opinions have always interested me, and often, U.S. politics left me confused. I have learned a lot more since then from you and the wonderful members here, and am very grateful.

Thank you so much for your constant support. I couldn’t have done it without you. Cheers my friend, and take a bow for everything you do to ensure that The Planet remains a platform for people to voice their opinions.

Thankfully there is no end to stories to share here, and I will continue to do my best to bring them to MB for anyone who is interested in the broader picture that makes up the often complicated world we live in.

Thanks again!

Good Morning Everyone and welcome to the 6th anniversary edition of Morning Blog.

As with all the previous posts, I will be asking a question and the first three correct answers will win a MB mug in the colour of their choice. You have until Sunday to submit your answer, and I will post the winners on Monday.

Good luck and here is the question.

What is this Y shaped, white object in the photo? Please excuse the roving Tiger in the background. He landed in every shot. 😳

Have a good day wherever you may be. Take care, be safe, stay warm and comfy.

Sayonara from my evening corner of Tokyo. Mata ne.

Top 3 Favorite TV Shows of GOP Candidates

Great fun, and thank you.

Still laughing about the rest too. Lindsay Graham, “The Little Pony”, “Missing”, and Ben Carson, ” Curb Your Enthusiasm”. 😆

Ben Carson Announces His First 3 Acts if Elected President

My first question on reading the amazingly bizarre things coming out of this man’s mouth was.

“Is he joking?”

Answer:

No he’s not.

My second question was.

“Is there anyone who is more ignorant, plainly sick and psychotic than Ben Carson?”

Answer:

Yes. The people who will vote for him if he is still standing and hasn’t been committed by November 2016.

How this man ever passed his medical exams to become a doctor/surgeon, is beyond me. Could be that in that time and now, the doctor experimented with a few brain surgeries on himself and forgot to put all the bits and bobs back in their proper place.

Justice Is Not For Sale

Hello KT.

Very interesting article. I don’t know much about your prison system over there, but do know that incarceration for profit is deplorable and too many are in jail who should never be there. It’s the same in the U.K. but they have a terrible reputation as do hospitals run by private trusts where profits are more important than patient care, and many have died through neglect. This is the conservative game plan.

I came across this article a few days ago about the financial hardship of the families of those in prison. It’s really appalling.

Thanks for the post.

Weekend Music Thread – All Around the World

Hello Fergie. Thank you too.

There is not much I can teach you. You just close your eyes and go back to the times that made you feel happy and secure, then try to relive it in your mind. It could be a song, the face of someone you love, a certain smell that brings comfort, the feeling of rain on your face, the words often spoken by a loved one or close friend, and it never fails to make me smile.

We all have some good memories and should make use of them. When I was younger I would dwell on the bad/sad times. As I grow older, I try to only remember the happy times and how they made me feel.

Take care.

Is There a Political Methadone to Wean Repubs Off of Their Trump Addiction?

Great read, AdLib!

Here is my five pence worth.

You have written what I have been thinking from the beginning, that Trumpdom will fizzle next year when he will have to give opinions about much more than just building a ridiculous SciFi wall, and deporting up to 11 million immigrants. His foreign policy answers to questions showed that he doesn’t know his arse from his elbow.

All but a few of his rabid supporters will have to hold their noses to vote for the nominee or not vote at all.

I have to laugh out loud when I hear how badly people like Cruz, Walker and the other Bush are doing. Some of the others should have stayed at home to play with their rubber duckies as their participation is a bad joke.

By next year Trumpy will have done enough damage to the GOP to last them a lifetime, and I’m looking forward to seeing them trying to get out of their sinkhole.

Trumpy is such a fake. I really can’t take his campaign seriously.

This was really funny. Well done! 😆

Saw her mugshot and there was no one home. The eyes were dead and she looked well and truly brainwashed. Saw the same eyes and facial expression on the followers of Aum Shinrikyo before and after they were arrested for the Tokyo sarin gas attack. It is the face of a cult member, and the GOP candidates are milking it for all they can get out of it. Disgusting!

Posted this on yesterday’s MB, it made me laugh too.

Republicans Explain Why They Support Their Favorite Candidate

This is wonderful, AdLib.

The scary thing is that I have read similar comments from Trump supporters that leave me speechless. You have to wonder why these people deserve the right to vote when those who really want to vote and make a difference are caught up in the Republican voter suppression grid.

Thank goodness it’s only 10 to 11% of them. I can honestly say that none of them seem to love or respect their country, and have zero compassion for the rest of country. They are the new tea party known as “the tea potty”. Potty as for crazy.

Donald Trump’s “Get It Done” Team

The Dream Team! The A-Team?

Trump reminds me of Kim Jung Un. Tells his people that his country’s woes are perpetrated by foreigners so he arrests those who accidentally cross his border, and spouts hate and blame on the West. Tells his people that the country is great even though millions are starving and poor. Builds a ski resort and a theme park that the majority of citizens can’t afford to visit. Convinced millions of people that he is omnipotent, can do no wrong, and jails or kills those who disagree with him. He probably refers to himself in the third person just like Trump does.

Trump is a carnie. A circus barker. A thief of reasoning and an outright lying pos. Those who follow him are inadequately educated haters and racists. His campaign is based entirely on racism.

The problem with America is not the immigrants, it is people like Trump and the rest of the measly bunch of hypocrites vying for the presidency, and those who blindly support them. To many repubs, apartheid would seem like such a great idea. Hey, and why not? It worked like a charm on Native Americans didn’t it?

America’s problem is the Republican Party.

By the time Trump starts to deflate, he will have become one of the most hated men in the country. Nice one Donald.

Loved your picks, AdLib. Although I wasn’t familiar with the pink unicorn, it seems right up Trump’s alley of fake hair, fake persona and sewer mouth.
