He bought out Vernon Savings and Loan (in Texas) and began lying and cheating his way through the process. I think he may be the one most single guilty person in that whole 80s thing, which is ringing more and more true each and every day, some 30 years later. It frightens me. Don went to prison for a few years, then was released. I’ve tried googling him, but I”m not as great a sleuth. I did write the book’s author to see if he had any info, and will keep you posted. DO get a copy of the Daisy Chain and read it – if you dare. Scare the pants off you. I would just like a follow up – I want to know where that creep is, what he is doing.
