Displaying 18,661 To 18,690 Of 18,974 Comments I have Zoom and Minimize on mine, when I clicked minimize, the page flew off into the Dock, hilarious, my computer seems possessed, I need an exorcism. π » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 4:04 pm Oh gosh Nicole, you didn’t make me feel bad at all, I realize that for some it could be annoying and maybe I have been totally spoiled for too long. π » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 3:50 pm π I just tried my Zoom in Safari and all it did was make the page smaller, when I clicked back, the page disappeared into my icon dock. » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 3:46 pm Actually it was 20 and I lost 4 this year, a very sad year. π How are your monsters? » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 3:30 pm Oops, there I go “wouldn’t be fair….” » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 3:05 pm Yes Nicole I know that but I have to change it every time I log on or want to read a news email and go into Safari. I keep a magnifying glass on the table next to me and changing back and forth gives me a headache, I know I’m such a pain. π I have one bad right eye since I was a kid and since 2 years ago after a haemorrhage in my left eyeball, a very unfocused left eye but if it is annoying to many people here, then I would surrender because I think that Adlib decided on the size just for me and it wouldn’t be unfair to be selfish if it poses a problem for others. » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 3:03 pm Oh no, please don’t take my font size away, I’m as blind as a bat and have problems reading what I’ve written in the comment box. “My font, my font! My Queendom for my font!!! π » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 2:42 pm HAPPY HALLOWEEN to my American friends! Hope that you are all having fun. Have to pop out and hope to catch you all later. Cheers to things that go bump in the night! » Posted By Kalima On October 31, 2009 @ 4:50 pm Hi Javaz, welcome aboard. Hope that you will enjoy your freedom to post on any subject here. Looking forward to your next post. » Posted By Kalima On October 31, 2009 @ 3:54 pm A New Way To Fight Right Wing Trolls on HP I think that I should go ahead and change that to “virtual football.” » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 5:11 pm I doubt that she would last longer than a few posts anyway, unless she cherishes being used as a verbal football that is. » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 4:57 pm You have just hit the nail on the head, it’s the attention that they yearn for, many I feel are extremely lonely people, maybe unable to make friends in the real world so they invent a virtual persona and run with it on a public blog. It is very sad as you say. » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 3:40 pm No offense taken but I was a regular for two years and believe that AH has too much of an ego problem not to write her own sensational headlines. She made a complete fool of herself with this suggestion and it served her right. Looks like you have a lot learn about AH but most of us who were there from the good times through to and beyond the hellish times, know that she really doesn’t give a damn about us. HP bashing will continue I know, I did the same on another blog with many of us who finally left Huff, it’s not a bad thing at all, we have to exorcise our demons before we move on. Good luck. » Posted By Kalima On November 1, 2009 @ 12:03 am As I’ve said here before many times, if AH was ever a progressive, I’ll change my name to Elvis. » Posted By Kalima On October 31, 2009 @ 11:46 pm Not particularly wanting to defend a stubborn Repug, I just wanted to mention that Ramirez was already there when I joined Huff in June of 2007. It was still quite civil there except for Neoboxofwine and just a few regular trolls, so no I don’t believe that Ramirez is working for Huff. » Posted By Kalima On October 31, 2009 @ 11:44 pm Sorry, by YOU, I meant all of you and just wanted to remind everyone that this site is just a few months old, there will be growing pains, bear with us please as we try to make it even better. Thanks! π » Posted By Kalima On October 31, 2009 @ 3:48 pm KK, I have just been reading through the comments here and would like to make one thing very clear to you if I may. As a founding member I can assure you that PlanetPOV was never intended as a place to bash HuffPo, it was created as an alternative to a troll infested, heavily censored and ridiculously moderated site that HP had become since the beginning of last year. If you have time to check the archives please do, we have covered many subjects and stories here. The Huff bashing started when AH suggested that Joe Biden should resign and also by new members who joined here after reaching their limits over there. Also we who started The Planet were recovered Huff addicts, no longer needing a daily fix to start our days. I hope that in time you will be more comfortable here knowing that you have found a secure place where you can say what you want about anything you want, I know that after Huff it might take time to come back to earth. Good luck and welcome to The Planet! » Posted By Kalima On October 31, 2009 @ 3:36 pm HuffNo Friday – Topic of the Night – Which Way Afghanistan? When something bad happens in this world, we shouldn’t turn our heads away like we did in Dafur, it becomes everyone’s business unless some of us genuinely don’t give a shit about the sufferings of other human beings. » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 10:13 pm Of course they do, then it will be back to business as usual terrorizing the ordinary Afghans, stopping girls from getting an education, killing people who they think are not religious enough and letting husbands brutally rape their wives, even killing them without fear of punishment if they don’t comply. But it’s not our business of course. » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 9:36 pm Left solely to their own devices, it surely will, and it is scary enough just thinking about it. » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 7:53 pm Tell that to the thousands of women and girls who have suffered humiliation, beatings and death at the hands of the Taliban over the years. » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 7:51 pm Yes K, of course, especially the women and girls. Sorry, I haven’t successfully woken up the other side of my brain yet. π » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 6:44 pm Afghanistan has become unmanageable due to years of neglect and underfunding by the Bush gang. Catching up would be almost impossible now as all of the necessary force was diverted to the illegal invasion of Iraq and their dreams of “grab it” oil fields. Yes we should be pulling out but when there is some semblance of a decent, lawful government there. I think that there should be much more attention given to rebuilding the infrastructure, when people have what they need for their daily lives, there is less chance of them wanting to fight. As with Iraq, we barged in on a gut reaction after the horrors of 9/11, although Iraq had nothing to do with it, and everyone forgot to study the people, their culture and of course the depth of their religious beliefs. Yes we should think about pulling out but at the back of my mind, I don’t believe in totally devastating a country and leaving it without some sort of stability, it seems like hit and run to me. The crazy Taliban still have enough power to pose a threat, especially to the people of Afghanistan. » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 6:01 pm Sorry, I omitted the word syllables after 5-7-5. » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 8:23 pm Actually Japanese Haiku is 5-7-5. It was good. » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 8:20 pm And I’m not really fully awake yet. We are so screwed! π » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 7:47 pm There was this woman from Greece » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 7:16 pm AdLib, I loved your video the first time and it’s even more relevant now. I don’t have a limerick yet, they are busy digging up the street outside of my house, I can’t hear myself think. Maybe later when they finally go home for the day. » Posted By Kalima On October 30, 2009 @ 6:49 pm Goodnight to you too K. » Posted By Kalima On October 31, 2009 @ 12:23 am π » Posted By Kalima On October 31, 2009 @ 12:02 amComments Posted By Kalima
who spent considerable time on her knees
Bowing and scraping to the rich of the land
Giving hope to Progressives, stealing it back with the other hand
Now she yearns for the big tent, the paint and the grease.
