They are far more dangerous to us as a nation than Al Qaeda. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 5, 2010 @ 12:04 pm kesmarn/KQuark-I believe that the last admin. liked and wanted us being in a constant state of fear…easier to manipulate fearful person than one who is rational and has independent thoughts. This fear has been pounded into us daily by the MSN, and like Pavlov’s dog, we salivate. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 5, 2010 @ 12:01 pm New Planet Feature – Member Directory See e’cat, emerald, Adlib or myself… » Posted By BigDogMom On January 4, 2010 @ 12:53 pm Me too, nothing that I haven’t already stated…feel much safer here than ‘there’. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 4, 2010 @ 12:05 pm Me thinks that the guy behind the curtain is really GOD, you know, ask and the you shall receive crap…. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 4, 2010 @ 12:03 pm Gee willy….thanks AdLib! » Posted By BigDogMom On January 4, 2010 @ 11:52 am Congratulations Abby! Everyone thinks that Goldens and Labs are these wimpy mushy dogs, they are not, they are very loyal to their owners and are willing to go to battle for them as this story shows, I’ve my own experience with this…. A few years ago, some guy tried to car jack me at a local store in broad daylight…little did he know that the cute, fluffy Golden in the car wagging his tail was going to attack him. Poor guy…a bad day just got worse for him, picked the wrong car to steal. The guy tried to grab me when I opened the door of the car, Rudder, my older dog, jumped out the open drivers side door and knocked the guy down and had him by the neck. It all happened so fast, I was knocked down too in the ensuing melee, before I realized what was happening a cop was there yelling at me to pull the dog off. Since then, no men that the dog does not know, will be allowed near the car…the younger golden that we have, has now picked this up and the two are quite a formidable pair… » Posted By BigDogMom On January 4, 2010 @ 11:38 am I think who ever did this is going to rue the day that he did…the secret service are going to get real buddy buddy with him and all his friends and family. I hope that they make his life miserable for the next few months or years…not too bright when you do something like this. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 4, 2010 @ 10:44 am I was hoping that God was going to have a regular column here….it would be nice to know where he/she stands on certain issues. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 4, 2010 @ 12:00 pm Welcome jan4insight…this is where the big kids play, just watch out on the jungle jim and you’ll fit right in. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 4, 2010 @ 10:32 am Looked up Aryanna’s Hedge Fund, they have an office located not far from me….One of head honchos lives up the street from me, real wanker. They have been posting jobs for various positions for the last 6 mos., seems that they can’t get anybody to work for them…gee, I wonder why? Could it be that the pay sucks and they want you to work 50+ hrs a week w/no OT. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 4, 2010 @ 10:30 am Vote Now for PlanetPOV’s Top Posts of 2009! javaz, I like your idea of showing the funds collected by the site, gives one a sense of accomplishment. This is one of the biggest marking tools that non-profits use when campaigning for funds…it make it tangible to the contributor. By giving to political campaigns, I feel that I can make a difference, instead of just talking about it. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 7, 2010 @ 7:33 am Morning javaz, boomer and anyone else who may be here this morning! » Posted By BigDogMom On January 7, 2010 @ 7:29 am Would love to give my hubby’s family, the ‘Beckheads’, wonderful progressive snark swag…unfortunately they are so clueless that it would go over their heads, LOL! » Posted By BigDogMom On January 7, 2010 @ 7:28 am Love that..”Good till the last post.” I would buy a dozen to give to friends and family! Also like the idea of the site getting more involved in a contribution fund for worthy progressive political campaigns. It’s great that here we can voice our opinions, but sometimes I feel a sense helplessness when comes to making the changes needed in our country, actions speak louder than words at times. Oh, and thanks for picking up on my hints for coffee mugs, chipped another one this morning…..geezzze, what’s up with that? » Posted By BigDogMom On January 7, 2010 @ 6:43 am and coffee cups…..maybe? » Posted By BigDogMom On January 6, 2010 @ 4:40 pm Thanks boomer, but I like this one better…gee will Kev?
» Posted By BigDogMom On January 6, 2010 @ 4:28 pm I love brain storming, in fact I think we should use this Friday’s Vox Populi to throw some ideas out there…it get pretty good once everyone gets going. I just don’t want this site to known strictly as a Huff-No site….a few funny things about Huff-No is OK, but when it gets to be too much, we look like a bunch of whiners. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 6, 2010 @ 4:25 pm There you go again Kev, referencing those damn cats again. What do you have against dogs? Just kidding, LOL! » Posted By BigDogMom On January 6, 2010 @ 4:18 pm My two cents…coffee mug, I seem to be breaking quite a few these days…so I would like coffee mugs with the Planet’s logo. Also, I’m with Kev on the Planet not being referred too as a anti-Huff site, I think we have enough good writers and posters here that we can stand on our own. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 6, 2010 @ 4:16 pm Some more classics… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-KGiwGn1d8 » Posted By BigDogMom On January 2, 2010 @ 4:56 pm javaz, I see that your a Mel Brooks fan also. There are so many memorable scenes in everyone of his movies, too many to count. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 2, 2010 @ 4:29 pm This is one of my most favorite movie scenes… Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWrCf7rAytc&feature=related My all time favorite movie quotes: Rainman
» Posted By BigDogMom On January 2, 2010 @ 4:27 pm The Infantilization of America ‘Beloved’, as I call him, in reference to the belligerent child in Oprah’s movie “Beloved”, has a wicked sense of humor, but is just not a morning person. Half the time with him, I’m either close to tears laughing or trying to figure out if he’s serious or not…he used to break out his toy metal decoder ring, yes, he has one of the originals, whenever Bush gave a speech….thought it might help us understand…LOL! » Posted By BigDogMom On January 2, 2010 @ 3:44 pm Who do these people talk to? What are they talking about that is so important that it can’t wait? What did all of us do before cell phones, voicemail and answering machines…does anybody remember? Lord, now I sound like my husband and Father!!!! » Posted By BigDogMom On January 2, 2010 @ 2:56 pm javaz, I have issues with some of the stupidity that is prevalent these days, driving will texting and on a cell phone is a biggy for me. I watched a guy in one of the big Mercedes, with his son in the car seat in the back, run a red light, hit the curb, go airborne, and hit the utility pole. Split the pole, the airbags deployed and the guy get out of the car still on the phone talking…..the man didn’t even look to see if his child was OK, thank God he was fine, until another motorist pulled the kid out of the car. Thank God no one else got hurt, because the car at the cross street that had the green was my husband and I was facing the guy ready to make a left when this all happened….so when I see someone on the cellphone, I give them a real dirty look and shake my head, just to let them know their not the only ones on the road. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 2, 2010 @ 2:53 pm “It’s snowing out, will continue on and off all day” the weather forecaster on Newschannel8, who looks like Bart Simpson, but with dark hair, says at 6:30 am EST “I see that, all I have to do is look out the window, Bart”, my husband says very dryly. “Temps with windchill will be down into the teens, that’s cold” Bart the weatherman says. “No shit Sherlock” my beloved says with scorn. Then Desiree, the traffic lady, comes on dressed as Carmen Miranda, minus the fruit stacked on her head, and cheerfully announces that there is a fatal accident on I-91 and two lanes are closed to traffic, two people dead….”soooo, if you want to get where your going, best avoid that area!” she says with a big smile. “Gee, I’ll keep that in mind if I need to go to east bum fuck this morning.” says the hubby. This smart repartee goes on in my house every morning between the weather guy, Desiree and my husband. kesmarn, I feel your pain….. » Posted By BigDogMom On January 2, 2010 @ 2:34 pmComments Posted By BigDogMom
