I don’t worry about that despite the warnings from nervous people on what they have to say about Siri and Alexa. I frankly don’t care if these paired-down AI functions are collecting information. What they would get from me would be tedious and confusing at best.
Why have a basic understanding of cryptography? Take those Mayan priest-rulers for an example: they coded religious texts so that they would be the sole keepers of the knowledge. So that they could control people, 'en masse'. Their subjects didn't understand either the code or the process. They were virtual slaves, for their lack of knowledge.
Could we create complete models of super-viruses, and produce vaccines and cures in minutes? Could we make an interactive model of the Earth, and include every factor affecting global warming. Could we… create continent-sized energy networks, and exchanges, with a micro-macro philosophy. Could we have a fully accountable and individually auditable elections system? Wouldn't that be an interesting world?

When a party with bad intentions, like Cambridge Analytica or Vladimir Putin, uses Facebook's highly manipulative machinery for their own malicious purposes, they're just using it as it's designed to be used...turning people's personal information against them.
According to sources close to Trump, he will spend the rest of his time in office, immersed in a virtual reality where all Americans look at him with love and trust and his hands appear much bigger.
It is difficult to speak with Mr. Trump, with him ensconced in his VR world of adoration, and he frequently believes he is on a stage giving a speech so is prone to calling for his virtual supporters to beat up anyone trying to interview him.
