When Donald Trump took the escalator down to announce his candidacy for the Republican Presidential Primaries earlier this week, the GOP took the escalator down from being a serious political party.

If 6 million Americans are thrown off of health insurance and the ACA is crippled, the ripple effect will come crashing down on everyone who has health insurance. And the hand that will be holding the lit match while our health insurance system goes up in flames...will be the Republican Party.

"The first thing we need to do is change the public's perception of this and take away the unfair stigma," GOP adviser Frank Luntz explained. "We want to come up with a more positive term for 'molestation', that word just exudes negativity. We're spitballing a few ideas now as replacements. There's 'Mistaken Feelings', 'Confused Hands' and 'Oops Baby Baby'."

Hey Planet folk! This weekend's music thread is about people and places and dreams. There are so many people in song, living in places all over the world, and all of them/us have our dreams.

I thought that for this weekend's music thread it would be fun to post any example of duality with two songs in a single box that portray an opposite. We could also post a single song and have someone else post a song that portrays it's opposite.

The disconnect between those Americans essentially supporting greater Climate Change and more frequent and terrible natural disasters that some of them dying in, is astounding. It's like blocking a national effort to prevent the spread of Black Plague simply because Obama wants to do it (no doubt a re-definition of Black Plague to them).

It used to be that we could trust the news reporter to do the right thing. Not so today. They toe the corporate line. Twist the news stories to fit their agenda. They have all the republican candidates on and ask them soft questions and allow them to say whatever they want.

Night and day, day and night. The two ever lasting cosmological events of our lives here on the planet Earth. The complete, single revolution of the globe, as the globe itself revolves around that star of ours that gives us our days.

Hillary Clinton explained her position against taking positions as a reflection of her strength as a candidate, "Someone has to have the courage to take a stand not to take a stand!"

The republicans hurry to war but refuse to care for the veterans their war created. With that in mind, I believe that more veterans than ever are going to vote for a Democrat who is against senseless WAR! Bernie Sanders has been against all our wars since he has been a Rep. or Senator. Nearly all the GOP candidates are in favor of said wars. They even want to start another with Iran.
