It all comes down to profits for those who have more to gain from war than peace. We have McCain in the Senate who never met a war he didn't like. Why, because he can line his pockets with considerations.

First , let me say I am not a big fan of labels like "conservative" or "liberal". I believe they are misleading at best. Second, I have some questions and would appreciate some answers.
Bad guys with guns are always on offense and can kill anyone at any time. Good guys with guns are necessarily on defense and rarely in the vicinity of bad guys with guns...and they could only act AFTER the bad guy has pulled out his gun and shot someone. So no, they don't stop the bad guy from killing.

Leading MMT thinkers and authors insist often and loudly that they are simply trying to describe how money and thereby the economy, government and the private sector work. Whether a capitalist, socialist, communist, or any other -ist, everyone should want to know how the system they exist in operates.
At a time in our nation's history when our Supreme Court has chosen the wealthy to dominate our politics and the press has mostly abandoned their duty to empower the public with truth, how can the people find their way back to a true and responsive democracy?
The same Republicans who decried the judicial filibuster and demanded an "up or down vote" for President Bush's selections to the federal bench have stymied Obama's choices at a record rate.
Tax evasion and tax avoidance reduce government revenues. If there are loopholes that allows these companies to avoid paying taxes we need to close them. It is hurting America and its citizens who are paying their taxes.
This man, Tom Steyer is a very wealthy man who will back Democrats against the Keystone XLPipeline. So who will benefit from the Keystone Pipeline? Who will be hurt? First, the rich oil corporations and the very wealthy will benefit. Second, the middle class, working poor, and poor will be hurt. Farmers, ranchers, homeowners, and small businesses will also be hurt.
