In the Trump era, time runs faster. That can be a good or bad thing. The sooner Trump's four years are over will be a massive relief to most Americans and people around the world. However, as days and weeks speed by, many events that would haunt a politician to his grave are too quickly forgotten.
Oligarchs despise peace and shared prosperity. They know that they can only monopolize power if the majority is divided and busy at each other's throats. The viciousness of partisanship in America as the oligarchy seized power is not a coincidence, it's a key part of the plan.

Trump's begrudging statement today about the horrifying events in Charlottesville was delivered stiffly like a disinterested 5th grader reading out loud to his class, with none of the emotion and vehemence of his attacks on the press, Nordstrom and Kathy Griffin.
Trump's success has been based on the cult of personality and while he's been right that cultists can't be convinced by reason out of believing in their cult leader, they can grow discouraged when The Promised Land that cult leader promised only he could deliver (and only for them, "the believers"), doesn't come.
Republicans have so far ignored what Americans want, time will tell if they've grown so desperate, they may consider representing the wishes of their constituents.
In the nation's capitol, one thing is guaranteed while Donald Trump is Resident of the United States: whatever can go wrong, will.
