Your Valentine’s Day open thread

My, look at all you PlanetPOV newbies. Some of you I know, some I don’t. Some may only know me as an adorable meerkat. Some may not know me at all.

I am a VERY old HP old-timer, there from virtually the beginning if you don’t know me. Welcome to the Planet. I need to spend more time here.

Anyway, I am the most lucky person in the world. I really am. Because I am madly in love. And I realize how incredibly lucky I am. You have no idea how much I appreciate that. Have a loved one, a child, anyone, someone, some green-eyed exotic GODDESS FREAK of nature from beyond the planet Neptune you want to dedicate a message to on Valentine’s Day?

I plan to go quite fou today. And I really don’t care if I mortify certain people.

    I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with Mrs.TheLateGrardini ….yeah GL is correct, he done got lucky and struck Love Connection gold with that girl. Mrs. GL didn’t do so badly either, good combo those two:))

    BTW…did I mention my Valentine’s day/Birthday present?

    Is is a night and day pearl ring (as in I will love you night and day) …an engagement ring..actually.

    I loathe diamonds…I’m a liberal after all and know about Blood Diamonds. Ergo I will not wear a diamond ring…I was ok with pearls.

    NOT a diamond on the ring, which was harder to find than one would think! It was a antique ring, that had the right setting. I found it it at a local sort of antique store that gets it’s goods from estates. He bought the ring for $12 and it turned out it was real gold, someone didn’t realize what they had!

    He had a white cultured pearl and a black Tahitian pearl put in…at the Native American jeweler located in the reservation near our home…which I am a HUGE supporter of…(does this guy understand me or what?) AND I am proud to say, he didn’t spend MORE than what I would deem appropriate for such a trinket. I would not have been pleased IF he did!

    A ring WITH emotional attachment AND social conscience…what more good a liberal girl want???

    Twelve years ago today the woman I love and I celebrated our first Valentine’s Day. I took her to a pay per view wrestling event. She commented today “That should have been a window into the future, but did I look out? NO!”. We celebrate our eleventh anniversary a week from Saturday. Must have been the good looks and charm.
