Senate Majority Reid (D-NV) will add the “opt out” Version of the Public Option to the Healthcare Bill

Oh Lord! The Queen in on Olbermann, even as we speak. Touting that Stein/Green crappy article on her site as the catalyst that made the White House commit to a public option. What a bloated ego!

Thanks for the link, KQuark. I signed it and hope others will, too. I have to say that my confidence in Reid faltered there, for a while, but–as Schumer is saying right now on K. Olbermann’s show–“Don’t count out Harry Reid. He’s the best vote counter around.” He seems to be getting the job done.

Arianna Huffington Responds

Good one!

» Posted By kesmarn On October 27, 2009 @ 7:46 am

That is appalling. The problem is, she would like to be doing HIS job. But apparently she feels that, since the prohibition against foreign-born presidents rules out her own run for the position, she’ll settle for being the back-seat driver in the Obama administration. She really does fancy that she runs the show from behind the scenes. Dream on, Ariaaaaahhhhna.

She really fits into the Rogues Gallery.

Great parody of the Queen’s Site.

My First Post

Damn good first post. I’m probably on thin ice @ HuffyLand, too.

I think the climate’s much better here, though, so who cares?

Gotta sign off for tonight, however, since it’s after midnight here and I hafta be at the hospital in the a.m.

Good night, friends.

The Huffington Hypocrisy Strikes Again!

Right. And that reckless speculation on the part of HP just “emboldens the enemy” to use Darth Cheney’s expression.

Side note: I still find myself resorting to old HP tricks…like thinking of typing @ssho/e regarding Cheney. But–hey!!–I don’t hafta do that anymore! I can say Cheney’s an asshole now and there’s no mod-prude to stop me. Freedom!

LOL! You and me both!

Lemme give a thumbs up to try to balance out!

Grabamop, just realized (a little slow tonight) that you’re Obama20082016. Glad to see you here!

Wonderful to see ecribacat and RR here. Welcome.
The latest development, as you probably know, is that the White House actually had to issue a statement refuting the (apparently totally fabricated) HuffPo assertion that Barack Obama was not supportive of a public option. With “friends” like AH, libs don’t need enemies.
When I tried to post (yes, I admit, sarcastically) that it didn’t look good for a Pulitzer this year at HuffPo, the scrub brushes came out. I’m so sick of that.

HP has banned my IP address.

Arianna and crew, for all the liberal pretense are pretty adept at the whole “Enemies List” modus, aren’t they? I know this sounds paranoid, but I wonder how long it’ll be before one of her minions heads over this way and “takes names” of those here.
I’m still unbanned over there, but it’ll be interesting to see how many of us who are still posting in both places will suddenly vanish from HuffPo in the near future, as this alternative catches on.

KevenSeven banned at Huff, time for HuffNo Fridays again

I’ve only been at HuffPo about a year. I’m in health care, so when that became a serious issue in congress, I got addicted to following the whole thing on HuffPo. Spent an appalling (embarrassing) amount of time there on some days.It was compelling to watch the debate unfold in “real time.” But, like many, I noticed a change in the way things were operating over the summer. The site became more and more Arianna-centric and the censorship was increasingly inconsistent and maddening.
It was actually easier to cope with posters like Flossy or Andrea C. than the powers-that-be at HP. At least with Flossy and AC, you knew where they were coming from. With Arianna…not so much.

I’ll be willing to do whatever I can. I think I’m about to get banned anyway, so I might as well go out swingin’ both fists.

Even though I try to keep my comments pretty civil on HP, I think I’ve ruffled some feathers with the comments that never made it through, so I’m going to pending almost 100% of the time and about 1/3 of my comments never make it.

NICE TO BE AMONGST SOME OLD FRIENDS!

Hi Strega! Always enjoyed your posts. Glad you’re here.

» Posted By kesmarn On October 26, 2009 @ 12:54 pm

Thanks for the kind welcome, AdLib. Things seem to be getting worse and worse over there. I can understand removing truly offensive or insulting posts, but they’re wiping out stuff that they just happen to disagree with. Not very liberal-minded! I hope all the frequent posters end up here.

Agent86! So glad you’re here. AtomicSplash was banned, too. I was/still am kesmarn @ HuppPo, but the relentless scrubbing was getting old. Always enjoyed your comments.

The Planet looks like an excellent alternative.

Arianna Jumps 40,000 Sharks

I was getting more and more uncomfortably with HuffPo also. For many of the same reasons. Some of the celebrity articles were the antithesis of what many libs stand for. How many of us, who were proud of Hillary’s presidential run, then wanted to “vote on who has the best chest in Hollywood?” You’d have to be schizophrenic to hold those divergent views of what makes women valuable! The whole site was like that. Still, many could have tolerated that as just an advertising gimmick. It’s the censorship that’s really spoiling the fun.
