The Truth of the GOP Healthcare Bill – Kill The Poor to Profit The Wealthy

Removing care from the least of us in order to increase the wealth of the top seems the same as what jesus found in the temple, money lenders sucking the life blood out of the poor. What is it in the psyche of the religious right that encourages them to overlook this?
Like you Nirek, maybe even more so, I have no beliefs in myths, yet common decency demands taking care of fellow citizens in this totally unequal society.

The Media Just Can’t Resist Lapping Up Trump’s Lies

We are in agreement. Problem lies in turnout. Will enough voters turn out to oppose republican candidates in order to take the house and the Senate? I don’t see a thing being done to bring Trump down unless that happens. So far we are batting zero, OSSOFF in Georgia may yet win, but even that is now in doubt after massive lying campaign by dark money from the right, tomorrow will show if the common voter is awake.

Yes, a lie should be labelled as a lie, and guys like Lawrence O’Donnell do just that. Since I never watch nightly news on the networks I can not comment on them. But even correct labelling will never change the minds of the ‘true believers’ nor will it make guys like Paul Ryan do the right thing. Hence my use of the word ‘CONUNDRUM ‘.

A definite conundrum. Do we or don’t we? If we do we get labeled enablers, if we don’t we get labeled ‘not reporting’. While I totally agree the press should have stopped reporting every vicious utterance by trump way back during the republican primaries now he’s the President, though many wish he wasn’t, including me.. now we get every tweet and fart, and we will until somehow, someway, we can rid ourselves of this stain on our country.

Through truly comedic actions, the mouthpieces for Trump give and give on a daily basis. ‘TRUMP IS NOT A LIAR’ now that has to be the biggest laugh getter of the week. Fact check sites report over 600 either outright lies or partial lies since Jan 20th, now that’s true comedy. Neither action of Maher or Griffin rises to that level of comedy.

Well said as usual Adlib. Folks we are watching the culmination of decades of false propaganda. In my humble opinion Newt Gingrich and the contract with america was the initial action of driving a wedge between Americans. Add in Roger Ailes and his determination to create a republican TV network once outlined in memo to Richard Nixon when he was the President, and we end up a totally divided nation where one faction now totally disbelieves any news source but Alies’s network,Fox. I have reached the conclusion that understanding the mind of a Trump supporter is impossible. 2018 now has reached the level of a ‘must do’ for the survival as a free, thinking, society.

Well said. What now though! If voters don’t come together in that determined direction of taking back Congress it’s just more hot air. Thankfully it appears motion is forward and many all over the country are offering up themselves to be candidates, that’s good, very very good. But we different variants on the progressive pathway must be more monolithic on voting day. Sorry to say but Trump is where he is because our side blew it, division let Trump win those 3 necessary states. That must not happen in ’18 right on down to dogcatcher. It’s way to important this time to screw it up.

Not sure I recognize my country at the moment. Remember CARE PACKAGES? Remember Goodness, wish I could remember my boy scout motto, that covered it all. How did so many grow so full of hate and spite? Trump Orders Puppet Show in Symbolic Attack Against Syria

When your self image depends entirely on winning as trumps does, cheating is just around the corner from a very early age. Now I like to golf, not very well, but one aspect I love is the honesty amongst the players, even to the point of calling fouls on themselves. I’ll bet Trump cheats on the course, and having played in foursomes knowing one guy is cheating takes that honor away and destroys that days play. This is what’s happening now in our political system, we are trying to use an honor system that we once had with one side who’s very goal is to cheat every day, and our honor as a country is being eroded daily.

The one clear fact is Gorsuch will be placed on the court. That leaves our only option left is RBG must stay until we retake the Senate at the minimum. Then if another seat does come open after that this president, unless he’s gone, or even Pence will be forced to at least nominate a more centrist candidate. Either way we are in for some pull backs on individual rights in my humble opinion.

If we do not turn out in record numbers in 2018 and 2020 we deserve to lose our country to the slime balls now in power. Progressives have pissed on all the progress of the last 100 years by not voting. We would not be facing this stacked court that likely will destroy women’s rights, voting rights and our environment. Gorsuch is just the icing on the cake that we allowed to bake. Now we are forced to live with it for years to come.

Trump has loosened the seals on normality, what we once thought is no longer so. I’m 70 and people I graduated high school with in 64 now are gleefully admitting their racism. This astounds me, that after the seemingly growth of the last 50 years so many were just hiding in the grass. Not only here but all over European countries as well. Do they not remember what hate did to their world just last century? It must be stopped now. Reason, logic, fact checking, nothing works. I have to keep asking myself one question, ‘do you get dumb before or after you become a republican’? I do not have the answer.

What can I add to this? Not much, except to say that as a 70 yr old white male I was gobsmacked by these ladies. I tuned in thinking, well I’ll just have a looksee, hours later when the March was breaking up I looked at the clock with amazement, time had flown so fast. I started this comment thinking to add something about the arguing about the minutia of the trumpers on crowd size but will not. Great job Adlib.

You really think they will pay? My wish is for that very thing in ’18, but with the absolute refusal to see the reality of Trump I do wonder. Probably lost another friend just yesterday over the blindness of those followers. They hear different words I guess, or maybe different definitions of his words, fake definitions. They see his crooked ways as attributes and his lies as truths. What magnitude of disaster is it going to take to open blind eyes?

As for trumpites catching on to the satirical nature of a post I have my doubts, yet providing links to truth also seems of little value to the one providing those links since most trumpites refuse to believe anything but the ‘Tweeter Twits’ tweets!Believe me when I say that because over the last year having posted hundreds of fact checked items to said trumpites I have come to the conclusion they either are to dumb or to blind, take your pick!
