Breaking millennia of silence, God made a sudden, unexpected appearance on The View today and spoke out to condemn Donald Trump’s executive order that declared a ban on immigrants from Muslim majority countries.
Replying to a nearly speechless Whoopi Goldberg, God stated:
“Okay look, all human beings are created in my image…though where your president’s hair comes from is a mystery even to me. So people are people, no one is evil because of the religion they believe in, their nationality or skin color. Evil comes from corruption within a human being’s soul…and surprisingly often from The Wharton School. Evil is not visible, you can’t look at a person and say just by his appearance, ‘Hey, now that guy is definitely evil!’. However, if his mouth looks like it belongs on a puffer fish, you may not want to stand too close to him when he inhales.
As for treating immigrants as if they’re all potentially dangerous terrorists…come on! Your president wants to ban them? Really?! My son was planning a long-delayed visit and now he’s had to cancel after learning that he’s not welcome because he was born in the Middle East. It was a real slap in the face for him but he just turned the other cheek, he does that.”
God wrapped up his visit by urging the people of the world to look at each other as they would want to be looked at, with love, respect, equality and worth. And he added that they should really avoid high fructose corn syrup as much as possible.
Upon hearing of God’s comments, Trump sent out a flurry of angry tweets:
God explained that he doesn’t have a Twitter account but wouldn’t have replied to Trump anyway, saying he just found it amusing to be in a one-sided Twitter war with someone who thought he was the center of the universe.
