Bikini Atoll – A Paradise No Longer

Killing Mitt Romney Softly With Our Votes

It was in Washington DC that I first heard the term, “throw under the bus”.

From Urban Dictionary: “to sacrifice some other person, usually one who is undeserving or at least vulnerable, to make personal gain.”

Example: “He’d throw his mother under the bus if it’d mean he could beat the rap.”

People like the Romneys aren’t used to being the recipients of such actions, I guess.

Creating reality is what those guys do. Remember Karl Rove’s quote?

“…when we act, we create our own reality. And while you’re studying that reality—judiciously, as you will—we’ll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that’s how things will sort out. We’re history’s actors … and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.”

Short Posts

The current administration is in clear violation of the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution . What Obama’s gang are doing is treasonous and criminal, they should be tried for treason (but the libs want to believe he’s on your side, so you roll over – as usual).

CBS News just came out with what should be a bombshell: “Report: Feds getting phone records of all Verizon customers”. From my reading the US Constitution, this is a blatant and flagrant violation of the 4th Amendment.

Where’s the outrage? If this were a GWB / Cheney operation, you guys would be all over this.

Amazing how fast an issue gets resolved when it directly affects senators.

Monsanto wrote their own law, and the Democrat Senate and President Obama signed off. What gives?

What’s the old bill hicks bit? “I think, every time a new president is elected, they get taken down an elevator, to a dark room under the oval office, with a big table with shadowy figures sitting all around it, and a projector scrren rolls down, and they’re shown footage of the kennedy assassination from an angle no one’s ever seen, and then the screen rolls up, and one guy stands up from the table, takes a puff of his cigar, and asks, “any questions?””

Who’da thunk it?

I suppose he made the point that administration nominees shouldn’t be advocating drone strikes against US citizens – that’s the way I heard it. That’s a worthwhile statement to make – or are assassinations OK if they’re ordered by Democrats? Wake up, folks, tyranny has no party affiliation.

I don’t know how this story has played out, but based on past events I can see two likely outcomes: 1) Mr. O’Keefe receives a check from some unknown benefactor for his troubles – enough to pay the fine plus a bonus, or 2) O’Keefe has already been thrown under the bus by his erstwhile buddies.

I was at a gun range last summer where a young man brought his date to fire a pistol. The girl was game, but her dimwit boyfriend and his dad were yakking and joking behind the firing line as I watched the girl place her thumb over the back of the barrel slide and line up a shot. This was an accident waiting to happen; everything went into slow motion as I fruitlessly tried to get someone’s attention before … BANG! The slide jammed back on her thumb, badly scratching her and perhaps breaking her thumb. They left the range for the hospital, her injury leaking drips of blood on the floor as she walked out.

Great job teaching gun safety, pal. You probably won’t get another date with her, if she has any sense.

The GOP Attempt to Resurface…As The Tea Party Pulls Them Down

It is not impossible to believe that the GOP could change their social direction and adjust to the realities of 2012. Consider the turnabout the Democratic Party did in the 1950’s and 60’s concerning civil rights. Within a dozen years, all the hard core Dixiecrats had been undercut by Kennedy, LBJ and the Washington leadership, leaving them without the power base they had enjoyed for generations as Democrats.

The situation’s different now, of course. There is no other major party around that wants to adopt the gaggle of social conservatives, religious nuts, crypto-fascists and white power segregationists, so the GOP is pretty much stuck with them for the forseeable future.

Time Out for O/T – Vol. 18

The priceless aspect of this whole secessionist movement is that it is populated by people who are the first to yell, “America – Love It or Leave It!” whenever some sane and credible person questions their leaders.

Perhaps we should give TX, NM, AZ and SoCal back to Mexico, with an abject apology for “borrowing” them in the 1840’s and messing ’em up ever since.

I see that Pat Robertson, according to some, “doesn’t think General David Petraeus should be condemned for his affair with writer Paula Broadwell. After all, she is ‘an extremely good looking woman’ and ‘he’s a man.’ ”

This is the same Pat Robertson that condemns homosexuality because of the dozen or so references against it in the Bible. However, IIRC the number of Biblical injunctions against adultery far outnumber the anti-gay statements.

But I suppose that adultery is okay if you’re dishing with an extremely good looking woman… after all, no one believes in the Bible anymore – least of all Pat Robertson.

A Word to the Whiners Redux

If you are attempting to generate support from skeptical independents and disaffected Dems for your argument, you could hardly have picked a worse tactic than to insult them from the get go. This article is yet one more example of the tunnel vision inherent in the ranks of Obama defenders, that choose to ignore the egregious failures and sell outs of this administration, all because they fell in love with the “Hope & Change” poster back when the candidate appeared to mean what he said.

Now we know better – President Obama’s proven to be in bed with the Bilderbergs and the MIC, and the rest of us have been shut out of the discussion.

Talk to me about what you intend to accomplish with the next 4 years of Obama’s Presidency, and how it would be preferable to 4 years of that other Bilderberg pet Romney. Frankly I see no difference between them so far.

As TYT put it the other day, Obama is a Trojan Horse:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bV6ZNGDPqA&feature=relmfu

True believers will never face facts, and it took awhile for the rest of us to figure out what Obama’s game was. But now we have ample evidence to show that the system is utterly and hopelessly corrupted at the highest levels of power.

We were sold a bill of goods by a bait-and-switch con man. From here on out, nobody in either party is the slightest bit trustworthy – they are liars to the core, willing servants of the corporate Beast that has ensnared us all. The American Dream has been staked through the heart, sacrificed to the benefit of the parasitical rulers of society.

AdLib et al, I think your argument would hold more water if you were more realistic about the President’s actual performance, as opposed to mere cheerleading for the Boss. If his direction of the past 2 years has not made his allegiance clear to all by now, Pres. Obama’s extension of the Bush tax cuts, combined with his acceptance of cuts to Social Security and Medicare, place him squarely in agreement with the GOP.

Will somebody please recommend a Progressive that can win?

Had the American citizenry wanted a Republican President after 8 years of Bush/Cheney, we would have voted for one, but we didn’t. Obama is setting himself up for failure in 2012 by representing his opposition more assuredly than his own constituency.
