Sure, they outed the teapartiers and their corp fundies, but what action(visible) did they take? While Keith did organize the healthcare fairs, I did not see much else from them. While those of us who got out in the street, wrote our letters, made our calls, I have to ask, what exactly did these three do? I participated actively in the President’s organizing for America campaign, did all I was asked to do and the President took the low road. While we were all working, he made secret deals with Pharma and never told the Senate what he wanted in no uncertain terms. Do I feel cheated? As a matter of fact I do. I recently read a book called “A Quiet Belief in Angels” One passage that I read in the book really hit me and I was able to see more clearly where we are headed. It does not matter if the quote was made up by the author, what matters is in his own way he pretty much summed up where we have been heading ever since WWII. Basically the quote said, “technology is a wonderful thing and it will take this country far, however with technology comes responsibility for what you design with it. When a nation takes advantage of that technology to create a bomb that will destroy a whole city, it will be the beginning of the end for that nation.” The bulk of our new technology has happened over the past 50 years, and look what we have done with it, MSM that is more interested in talking Tiger Woods or Michael Jackson to death than practicing real investigative journalism. Religions who want to put themselves in the middle of government but then want the government out of their lives. We live in a nation of hypocrits, every man for themselves. When you look at a certain website, the comments there make that very clear. I think what the author meant was that once you are able to absolutely destroy a city or a country with one drop, and you are not condemned, you decide you can take it further and further. Our infrastructure is crumbling, our education system is in crisis, we are not caring for our planet, yet we still continue to fight two wars, everyone has something to say about something, but it is almost like we have lost our sense of responsibility to take action. We just experienced the biggest fraud ever in the history of this country and they all got away with it. Where exactly did all those losses go on Wall Street? The banks have not written them off and anyone with half a brain knows the 700 billion was a drop in the bucket. So where did the losses go? Good morning,I took an even bigger step this morning. I changed my home page for the internet to Planet Pov. So when I now log on to the internet, Planet Pov is my first destination. What that means is that it is better to be a part of a real community and not a contrived one set up by a Queen. Thanks to all the originators here and the progressives who come here, more and more everyday.
Please accept my deepest sympathies. What an incredible gift, though, to have that woman who cared just enough. We need more people in this country who “care just enough”. In posting this and sharing it with all of us, I hope that you have some measure of peace. May you be comforted by that woman’s caring. Pay it forward, that is the best thanks you could show her.
