Okay, riddle me this? Its 1945, and you “liberate” a German concentration camp. You see the bodies of people starved to death, and children. Would you cry? Leaders don’t cry when they see children being starved and abused. Their resolve becomes a sword.
The Declaration was a “grito,” a shout of freedom. The Constitution was a framework that the Founders were certain would be ammended, improved, and expanded, depending on the need. It is often vague and imprecise (“high crimes and misdemeanors”)? It fails to name responsible parties and available remedies. It is incredibly short-sighted (militias). And, as high sounding as the language seems, it is incomplete (never mentioning women, for instance). It is a statement of principles more than a guide. Many of the timeless principles enshrined were never fully legally defined, or developed into working law (life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness).Now, it is highly debatable whether we would be capable of completion of the unfinished work.
The Declaration was certainly for the privileged, as has been said. But, I believe that it was a mockery; because only a fool would proclaim freedom from tyranny and keep slaves, indentured servants, and women and children in virtual servitude. It was a boast that was never delivered upon. A few gained freedom – a very few.
That’s what America is, and was, about: freedom for a few, who jealously hoard it, and servitude for the rest.

But, there are two passages in scripture: one says to “Store up treasure in Heaven.” Another asks, “If God clothes wildflowers in more magnificence than even Solomon, then do you not think that he will be able to take care of you?” This sucks.
Can we come up with $12T? Almost certainly. But, as you say, there is a lot of secrecy and shady accounting involved. I’ve heard that 12T of pseudo dollars only equals 4 trillion in real money. But it’s not whether we can, but what the effects would be, long-term. And, more important than all that, believe it or not, are the legal and constitutional precedents, and the long-term psychological effects. This country, 35 years ago, adopted a strictly “pay-as-you-go” budgetary philosophy. Numerous laws were made to enforce that. Representatives were threatening to lock up others over minor exceotions to the budget Are we really abandoning that? If so, no one told the public. The Constitution requires that loans and debts must be paid in full. Are we changing that, violating it, or just disregarding it? The people fear out-of-control debt. They should, its another plague that most of us have suffered through. Are we forever going to be waiting for the other shoe to drop? If Drumpf thinks it’s OK for states to go bankrupt, then why not the country? What does failing economically tell the public, or the world about our competence as a people? Will the morale of the American worker sink to the abysmal level of the military. Psychological effects that will last for generations.
As I will assert in a submission later today: Trump is not really stupid, or incompetent. He is destructive and a murderer. And, as I have been saying for four years, he is a sadist. He gets his rocks off seeing people suffering, or in fear. He lies to mock, to infuriate, to inflame – to cause death. He changes course to confuse people, and set them up for more mockery (this is not my theory, but it is absolutely true). How do you hurt a man who has never loved? Take away everything that he has.
But, where does $4T actually come from? In part, through a little smoke and mirrors, by counting these shares in the economy at their full maturity value, and factoring in several otger calculations that define “potential” money as real money. but they often, and commonly, sell Treasury vehicles to foreigners, and foreign nations (like China).The United States government owns fantastic amounts of property. Yeah, they own it: millions of acres of land, millions of buildings, roads and bridges, and on and on. They hock it. In fact, they have just hocked the country.
If it were true that they can just “print money,” then we could just keep on doing it. We can’t. And, next year the interest on the national debt will be our largest expenditure, bigger than the military budget. Given all our recent calamities, it’s doubtful that we can even pay the interest. We’ll have to borrow that too; from mobsters and billionaires, mobs and Communists, etc. Crooks run everything. And they are as stupid as they are dishonest.
