The All-American Basketball Alliance

Oh, sweet Jebus…I liked rednecks better when they sat at a bar from 1:00pm to last man standing, drinking. When they start thinking, it is like working without tools.

The Supreme Court puts our democracy in the hands of corporations

This is so depressing – and ironic. See what embracing faux populists like Bush has gotten us? Supreme Court Justices whose decisions continue to undermine democracy in this country. All this talk about wanting “yer country back” and you know who is going to get it, lock, stock, and barrel? The very corporate entities who will pay you to scream and holler out a decent candidate and slime in their paid for candidate.

Uggh….

What a difference a day makes

About time, but how sad it was done after Mass spit on Kennedy’s grave. Oh, finally, the idiots at the mic got a clue, woke up? Really?

Grab me a cup, my eye rolling has dislodged my eyeballs.

She Said What?!?

That woman is free to discuss politics, but she crossed a line and was not speaking about political views. You don’t like someone in office, get him/her voted out. But to make a comment about lynching a person is not politics – it is hate speech.

But I think AdLib’s suggestion might be the best one.

Report it – I am saddened that you have to work with someone like that. Maybe that will be the bucket of ice water in her face to realize that some things have consequences. Like voicing the desire to have an elected official, a father of two little girls, lynched.

Let’s ALL THANK Huffington Post and Its Proprietor

I know all the lingo, Nellie…

LOL…laughing out loud…WTF…why the face…

Fanned! 🙂

» Posted By LABC63 On January 20, 2010 @ 10:58 am

I agree – there needs to be a balance. But there is hardly a voice over there for balance. There is Sirota and the circle jerk of commenters over there, fanning each other for high pitch progressive whining. None of them are interested in having their opinions challenged. I completely agree with your assessment, I just do not know if HuffPost is up to the challenge, in its present state.

Another POS site is Salon. So busy with their faux concern/real blaming game for Obama, “don’t blame us far lefties” hand washing, and yes, fucking Camille Paglia with her wet dreams about Palin (the new face of feminism, according to Paglia).

Well darlink, what do you expect? Zsa Zsa doesn’t pick up doodoo….

» Posted By LABC63 On January 20, 2010 @ 10:20 am

The obscenities alone will prevent any message of thanks I have for that Zsa Zsa Gabor sounding bitch and HuffPost from seeing the light of day.

Back to the Future

LOL!! Well, since the american people have spoken (according to every media source on the planet) and do not want this, that sounds like a plan to me – I can do the “I got mine, fuck the rest of you” attitude just as well…

I am in foul mood too, btw….:{

» Posted By LABC63 On January 20, 2010 @ 11:19 am

I appreciate you taking the time to point this out. Hopefully, this sad event will be a turning point and maybe even Emmanuel can learn something.

Your reasoned support of Obama is why I showed up here. Thank you for a great article.

» Posted By LABC63 On January 20, 2010 @ 9:43 am

You said it!! The DNC is not saddled with a buffoon like Steele – where were they?

Last night, after it was clear that it was a loss, I had some bourbon, and then played on the Wii. I was so mad that I was hitting virtual balls out of the park and improved my bowling score. It beat watching Chris Matthews blab at bar like he is Johnny Regular…

» Posted By LABC63 On January 20, 2010 @ 7:35 am

I agree with you up to a point. But I do not buy the progressive meme of making Rahm Emmanuel the center of evil. I see this viewpoint being pushed because some progressives are mad because Emmanuel found their sometimes politically tone deaf internet bleatings tiresome. Unfortunately, as HuffPost amply shows daily, his opinion is not without merit. That said, there have been some miscalculations made that need to be revisited and revised by this administration. I look forward to the road ahead.

Now are you saying that the message from the Mass mess that a single payer or public option should have been the way to go initially? I agree with KQuark that a health plan was as hard as hell to pass. Outside of the progressive sites, I have never really seen the sort of strong resolute public support for a Single Payer or the public option that would make it move forward. You need to negotiate from a position of strength, and maybe the calculations of the White House were, unfortunately, correct. Maybe given a fickle, woefully misinformed public, a feckless legislature, and the self-righteous intrangience of some in the progressive movement, the reality of a single payer system or a public option was never in the cards.

choicelady, your description of Mahr is bang on!! That is exactly what I get when I watch him – Mr. Smirky McKnowitall…

Democratic Navel-Gazing, or The Circular Firing Squad – Part II

I know…she just pisses me off with her smug “let’s play patty cake with right wing psychos to make a point” look. She reminds me of that hilarious south park episode with the smugness about purchasing a hybrid. The animation was priceless…

Hamsher will wake up from her Vegas night of wingnut passion with Norquist to find her head pounding, butt hurting, her earing missing, the room trashed, and big hairy man with glasses farting and snoring next to her. And she will feel dirty…and finally realize that being used and thrown away like a jizz rag is not a progressive value.

Mass. Rationalizations

Thanks! Based on the comments, a lot of auditioning for “last comedian standing”.

» Posted By LABC63 On January 19, 2010 @ 8:42 am

Amen! I hope so too! I hope this wakes up the democrats throughout the nation and that we as voters stop standing on the sidelines.

Which comes first? The chicken or the egg?

E…you are only human – there are people out there who derive their whole self worth in goading others. I have been there too…

» Posted By LABC63 On January 17, 2010 @ 10:40 am

Aren’t they the worst? I hate those self -righteous c’s who use that terminology as a way to answer any reasoned opinions that go counter to their united front of “Oh, fanned…you are so right…Obama is awful…if I didn’t have to move my fat” I got health care already” ass I would so go out in the street and scream at government….”

I find it hard to stay out of those pissing contests, but I am trying now thanks to this site!

» Posted By LABC63 On January 17, 2010 @ 10:00 am

Absolutely!! We have a text-book example of how a party can get so lost and yet, on HuffPost, there are those ready to do it on the far left. That horrid Jane Hamersham (sp) ready to lie down (rhetorically) with that wingnut on the right to make some point about how the extremes are in sync. Seriously, that is progressive thought? How much right wing dick you are willing to suck to show Obama how mad you are? Really?

(pardon my french…)

» Posted By LABC63 On January 17, 2010 @ 9:52 am

Bravo!! It is so funny reading the self-righteous comments from HP “progressives” who haven’t the slightest idea of what it is like to truly have nothing. The ones who have no problem dismantling something just because it isn”t perfect. The ones who play ingenues and cannot understand why, despite this political environment, Obama cannot ram through a health bill on his own, ignore the constitution and make his own laws.

» Posted By LABC63 On January 17, 2010 @ 9:47 am

Man, that was beautiful…your comment covered all of my frustrations with comments from so-called progressives who seem to want revenge and not leadership. Look, I am all for Cheney’s pacemaker batteries to run out, but I am not interested in Obama acting like some third world dictator and lining him up with some others to shoot them in the mouth. I just want to give this man a chance to pull us out of the morass we have been in for 8 years and move us forward. And I am old enough to know that this sort of work takes time.

Muhammed Ali, huh? I always thought that they wanted Huey Newton with a splash of Malcolm X.
