Sure we did it for OBL when we could have tried a drone, but those were extra-special circumstances that I think the commanders don’t want to risk all the time. I get the ethical points. I get why people don’t like drones. But as amoral as it may be, there’s just practical cost-benefit analysis too. If anything, I’d like to see them used more carefully and sparingly, if that were possible.
