“A-Sot’s Fables” By John Boehner: “The Cowardly Fireman”

Yes AdLib, it could have been written just for them. Saps the lot of them. Couldn’t find their way out of a brown paper bag. They live their lives wearing blinkers never thinking of the consequences of their actions or taking responsibility for their cock-ups.

“The Scorpion and the Frog” is perfect too AdLib, and for anyone not familiar with it, or has forgotten it, here it is.

The Scorpion and the Frog

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the
scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back. The
frog asks, “How do I know you won’t sting me?” The scorpion
says, “Because if I do, I will die too.”

The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream,
the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of
paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown,
but has just enough time to gasp “Why?”

Replies the scorpion: “It’s my nature…”

To me the GOPTP are like someone who goes to a store standing next to the person who buys a winning lottery ticket, then demands his share when the other guy wins.

When the winner refuses, the guy demanding his share snatches the ticket and destroys it. If he can’t get what he wants, no one else can either. I knew kids like this growing up and they are still mean, selfish and demanding as adults.

Like the guy demanding his share, the GOP and the Teabuggers have done nothing to deserve it and absolutely zero to benefit the country or it’s people, yet they demand a share in running the country and trashing it for everyone else.

You’ve depicted Boehner down to a “T”. Perfect!!

Just love the play on Aesop’s Fables with “A-Sot’s Fable”, great idea.

How about his “Woman and the Snake” for the GOP being deceived by the Teabuggers in 2010?

You’re welcome KT. No, I can’t remember you having this problem before, and it seems we were having a server glitch last night so that’s why you couldn’t get on.

I’m glad, it’s a favourite of mine too.

Sorry that I had to change the image for your post, but yours didn’t show up.

How to Win a Congressional Election Against Your Republican Opponent – 2014

Well it would be a crying shame if they didn’t jump on the chance to win back the House from these greedily insane profiteers, in fact it would be unforgivable. They need to grow a pair like Sen. Warren and Ohio’s Sen. Brown. Enough already with the protecting their own seats when some don’t even deserve to be there in the first place. The Senate/Congress needs some new blood, people who are not afraid to speak the truth. It’s about time people stopped being so complacent and actually did something for the country and it’s citizens. That is why they were elected, right?

» Posted By Kalima On October 11, 2013 @ 5:22 pm

Great piece funk. When you think about it, and as bad as it’s been for so many, the Teabuggers have done the Dems a huge favour. They’ve handed them the perfect campaign theme for 2014 and 2016, the shutdown and the Dept Ceiling fiasco all on one untidy plate. Bet Cruzy didn’t think further than his next election as he gave the opposition enough factual ammunition, the perfect anti-Republican vehicle to destroy his future and that of his terrorist cohorts. To any normal person, how much more embarrassing could this be? Cruzy is bright? I don’t think so. The President didn’t budge an inch, and after almost 5 years of trying to reason with them, why the hell would he?

Our 200,000th Comment! We’re Celebrating With a Comment Contest!

You’re welcome, it brought fresh tears to my eyes, he was so full of fight, good humor and mischief.

I have a feeling that I see bito sometimes in the night sky when a star appears to twinkle, and KQ must be exploring all the stars and planets he loved so much.

Yes, I think that they are watching us and know how much we appreciated and loved them, and how much they are missed by so many.

Nothing ever really fills the void when we lose someone we care about, we just learn to cope without them and maybe live a part of our lives for them.

Ok cl, just let me know when and I’ll stay awake. 🙂

Ha! If I remember correctly, no troll comment ever stayed up long enough to get counted once they had scaled the high walls, had had boiling oil poured on them and swam over our crocodile infested moat. 😉

I have too many favourite comments and wouldn’t be able to find them, but offer this one from our dear bito when he was still bitohistory.

Sorry, had to pop out and just popped back in again.

You have caught on to my secret with our MB mugs, but I’m living in Japan, so it’s “faily dust” from now on. 🙂

200,000 comments, who would have thought that possible in 2009? Proud day indeed AdLib. Cheers!!

A huge congrats to you cl for posting our 200,000th comment, and a big thank you to all our wonderful members and readers for making The Planet our second home, a special place to be ourselves.

Enjoy your MB mug, I couldn’t drink from anything else for the last three years, no dainty tea cups for me.

It’s a proud day today. Thank you everyone.

Tea Party Republicans To Offer PR Services To Serial Killers

When I start to nod my head in agreement, or would believe that Cruz was “The Boston Strangler”, Rand was “Jack the Ripper’ and Ryan was “The Son of Sam”, then I must have reached the stage where nothing would surprise me about these baggers and how far their insanity would take them. Isn’t what they are doing aiding and abetting America’s enemies anyway?

If they don’t want for over 30 million Americans to ever have health insurance, aren’t they actually the serial killers?

The End is Near…for John Boehner and the GOP

Yes Nirek, these domestic terrorists have managed to do what Bin Laden could not, sabotage the country’s economy out of hate and ignorance. They hate the country and it’s citizens as much as the extremist Islamists do. Heck yes they should have been arrested, they are not politicians, they are an embarrassment to all America stands for, and it’s all for nothing. Today the President’s ACA starts for millions of Americans, and I couldn’t feel prouder if I had actually been born over there.

Congratulations Mr. President and Bravo to the Dems who stuck with their principles without letting those cockroaches contaminate the values of people who genuinely care about the welfare of others.

These freaks might have shut down the government like the arse wipes they are, but they broke no one’s spirit in pursuit of a better America for everyone. It’s a good day despite the GOPTP’s insanity.

» Posted By Kalima On October 1, 2013 @ 5:19 am

These nutters should be arrested for treason for willfully causing harm to America and it’s citizens. They are the scum of the earth. This impacts the rest of the world too.

Ted Cruz – The Miley Cyrus of Politics

Yes he’s a disgrace to his Senate seat, to the government, to your country and the majority of its citizens, and so are the politicians who support him and the msm who give his circus air time.

Not 100% sure of everything in your Constitution but am very aware that anyone who tries to harm the interests of the country and its people, could be charged with treason. In my opinion, he should be.

» Posted By Kalima On September 28, 2013 @ 10:00 pm

Hi Ad Lib. My point was that she is the product of her record company, managers and the PR machine. What is Cruz’s excuse when he was always weird according to people who knew him in college, and now he’s just a con man who is grifting his base, and trying to hold a whole country hostage, so there is the difference.

I’m not trying to make excuses for her, I don’t know her, but at least she admitted what she did. Cruz? Not in a million years.

Sorry, it must be the paint fumes.

» Posted By Kalima On September 28, 2013 @ 6:50 pm

Don’t know the girl or her music but have read about all the fuss. Personally I think that politicians ripping off the poor, the sick and the elderly is much more newsworthy. She might have a huge ego trip, but I found what she had to say here very true, and it gives her much more insight, street smarts and a bit more integrity than “sillibuster” Teddy Cruz could ever have because at least she admits that what she did on stage was outrageous.

America is just so weird in what they think is right and wrong….Like, I was watching Breaking Bad the other day, and they were cooking meth. I could literally cook meth because of that show. It’s a how-to. And they bleeped out the word “fuck”. And I’m like, really? They killed a guy, and disintergrated his body in acid, but you’re not allowed to say “fuck”?It’s like when they bleeped “molly” at the MTV Video Music Awards. Look what I’m doing up here right now, and you’re going to bleep out “molly”?”

One thing I loved about him is that he never put anyone down for their beliefs, unless of course it was the extremists. I found this side of him very admirable, and appreciated it in our friendship. Not once did I ever have to defend my faith to him.

Boehner’s Crying Game on The Budget Showdown

Yes Nirek, isn’t this what con artists and grifters do for a living? In the real world they would be arrested for this, so why can’t these crooks face the same punishment for doing the same thing? Companies are being fined for false advertising all the time, and if this isn’t false advertising, then my name is Napoleon Bonaparte.
