Went into town (I’m not quite “in” Phoenix) and the freeways weren’t bad, and I avoided the messy areas. I wasn’t here much last night, the computer issues got to me. I’ve dealt with really slow, funky systems before, and usually try to find workarounds. I’m glad adlib was on the ball. Now what is hilarious about the part that Griffith plays is he is effeminate as all get out, great speeches and all. At one point he tells his men to throw another (bunch) of firewood on the fire, and they all look around and have a worried look on their face. (bunch is a unit of wood measure which is also used in derogatory manner regarding gays) It is really funny. Tom Berringer plays the good guy. I’m up at Exit 227/229 on the I-17. (no, not the Federal Penetentiary, that’s exit 225 or something, it’s hidden, but it’s there) I’m in a massive “master planned community”, a big mistake. I knew I didn’t like the idea of HOAs and CC&Rs, and it didn’t take long to figure out why. It’s funny how so many conservatives raise hell about “big government” and then move into master planned communities where a handful of people make the rules and apply them as they see fit, often to punish those who “step out of line”. He was scheduled to ship out to the middle east soon. Supposedly he was voicing opposition to going. His specialty was treating soldiers with PTSD. Two handguns (not military issue) were used. The report should be saying 13 are dead since he was killed while attempting to be apprehended. I can tell you that listening to other peoples high stress issues for long periods of time results in high stress of your own. Had it not been for the federal road systems, it wouldn’t have happened. If it hadn’t been for the government gifts of land, payments and subsidies, we wouldn’t have the railroads. If it wasn’t for a strong federal law enforcement, the organized crime of the 1920s and 30s would still control much of the “vice” market. Not to mention national defense. The libertarian concept of “governing” might have worked in the early 1800’s but it is totally oblivious to the realities of today’s world.
