Good morning, Kalima! Clean the latrine? I have no clue on this one, so I will cede to the Queen. And for what it is worth: I think the word “loo” is much cuter than any words I have….

AND to let you know: The Blov and I are now Maruophiles. I simply love that cat and have watched many videos. We both want to snuggle with him. I think they could raise $$ by offering a chance to snuggle Maru for $5US/pop. I’m in.

Off to work on my DAR membership. Isn’t it ironic that my application is because of a WOMAN and not the male patriarch? Wow. And her name was “Fanny”. Even more apropos.

UGH Frennie! Although in Ecuador, I hear “cooey” (guinea pigs) are quite a delicacy! They serve them with a stick up their arse, all crunchy. *urp*

And FYI for when you come visit: BBQ sauce should be served on the SIDE in Texas, along WITH the other things. NOT slathered on the meat like in KY or NC (*shudder*)

Got the news last night that my friend is not coming back from maternity leave, so my “freedom” date of 2/1 is not in the making.

Hello, dear Kalima! Sitting in storms and have time off today. whoo hoo! so…..

Who knows? Maybe my “Jersusalem is NOT the capital of Israel” scrawls to DNC/OFA might have made a teensy tiny difference. I can always dream. Hagel is great in my opinion. I also would have asked Huntsman (who seems fed up w/ the Repubs) to be my SOS so that Kerry would not vacate his seat. Although Barney and Lizzie would make me very very happy for a three month period.

Trivia: The finger I use to salute Antonin Scalia???? That Kes! Taking advantage of my absence to polish that crown and add a few jewels to it!!

Miss you all. Life is slowly returning to normal, post visits and too much work, which lasts 4 more weeks. – AB

And my fave story: we went to see her at a very nice club in Ft. Worth (Foat Wuth as they say). It was 92. She had a Clinton/Gore sticker on her travel piano. Her crowds are always VERY devoted fans. Marcia was reminding everyone that the election was coming, and to get out and vote. One guy said: “I can guess how you’re voting and it’s a damn shame” or something to that effect. Marcia stopped playing, put her hand over her eyes and said: “Who said that?” No answer. “Who said that?” Quiet again. “I’m not playing until I know who said that.” Amid boos and protestations, a man finally raised his hand. Marcia just looked at him and said “Go to the door. Get your money back. Give him his money back. Just get out.” He left, we cheered, and the party went on.

Frennie – she’s 6′ tall in her bare feet. All legs. She has to tape the leg of her piano cuz she’s dinged it a few too many times. Many nights I spent back in the 90s, lying on her bed, while she played the piano then in the bedroom. I met Gov. Ann through Marcia and her hubby, Gordon Fowler. They are the best. Gordon is a painter, and MB a singer songwriter of the highest degree.

Doncha love that guitar players hair? I don’t even recognize him…the drummer always reminded me of JFK, Jr. SO good looking, and such a wonderfully sweet man. I letched after him at first, but he was so sweet that I felt ashamed for the impure thoughts running through my brain. Didn’t stop me from TSAing him the first time he hugged me, though…….

Heyho, everybody! I’ll be here. It’s my last night on the road – home again tomorrow, Inshallah (my Secret Muslim Society word). Blov flew home yesterday, and I left Nashville this morning. In Little Rock – not exactly a bastion of liberal thought, so I decided to hole up, watch the debate in my very nice room and see what’s shakin’ bacon with the Planeteers.

FWIW: Watch the Iran talk. That will be HUGE and play well with Rmoney and his ilk in Boca Raton. Israel at all costs. Watch.
