      • Frennie – she’s 6′ tall in her bare feet. All legs. She has to tape the leg of her piano cuz she’s dinged it a few too many times. Many nights I spent back in the 90s, lying on her bed, while she played the piano then in the bedroom. I met Gov. Ann through Marcia and her hubby, Gordon Fowler. They are the best. Gordon is a painter, and MB a singer songwriter of the highest degree.

        Doncha love that guitar players hair? I don’t even recognize him…the drummer always reminded me of JFK, Jr. SO good looking, and such a wonderfully sweet man. I letched after him at first, but he was so sweet that I felt ashamed for the impure thoughts running through my brain. Didn’t stop me from TSAing him the first time he hugged me, though…….

      • And my fave story: we went to see her at a very nice club in Ft. Worth (Foat Wuth as they say). It was 92. She had a Clinton/Gore sticker on her travel piano. Her crowds are always VERY devoted fans. Marcia was reminding everyone that the election was coming, and to get out and vote. One guy said: “I can guess how you’re voting and it’s a damn shame” or something to that effect. Marcia stopped playing, put her hand over her eyes and said: “Who said that?” No answer. “Who said that?” Quiet again. “I’m not playing until I know who said that.” Amid boos and protestations, a man finally raised his hand. Marcia just looked at him and said “Go to the door. Get your money back. Give him his money back. Just get out.” He left, we cheered, and the party went on.

          You know that “brave” guy was probably whining to all his friends ten minutes later about what a biotch she was. Another instance of someone being able to dish it out, but turning into Chicken Little when he’s confronted on it.
