Republicans love to hate, in fact, for Valentine's Day today, the GOP website will send a dozen hateful pejoratives in a gift box to that special Muslim or gay person on your enemies list.
Corporations may have designed this mousetrap of buying cheap products bringing down wages but as long as consumers keep going for the cheese the corporations set out, they will continue to be the victim of this trap.
Single payer seems dead legislatively in California, not just as a bill but as an issue. It died not due to insurance industry opposition but due to the outrageous bullying tactics of its supporters. Nice job, BullyProgs.

Some say corporations are people. What if political parties were people? Could the GOP be clinically diagnosed as a sociopath?
Fewer and fewer of the folks who contributed to the success of our economy actually benefited from that success. Those at the very top grew wealthier from their incomes and their investments -- wealthier than ever before. But everybody else struggled with costs that were growing and paychecks that weren’t -- and too many families found themselves racking up more and more debt just to keep up.
With all of the madness and hatred out there in the world, we can become inundated with so much that's negative and lose sight of the things that we're so fortunate to have. Unless you're a Republican, then it's a two-for-one deal.
