I'd been to Bible camps and such. I read it myself. I was devastated. I've come back to it but through the Qur'an, Bhagavad Gita, Avesta, Tao Te Ching - you name it I've read it. If anything, Joseph Campbell gave me the best for religion: Follow your bliss.

Cascadia!

Whenever I go back, I can’t explain it, the connection to the land. We’re different. I still count myself as an expat, with my Cascadian flags and membership card.
I have not posted anything but “short posts” in a while because, well quite frankly I am not a writer. I prefer to just exchange...
One of the most profound experiences of my life was the fall of the Berlin Wall. I was nine years old but could feel the change. I won't talk about the fall of the Berlin Wall (certainly not Hasselhoff), but to say the DDR was crumbling from within, and it was not Reagan.
In the President's speech during the White House coronavirus response meeting yesterday, and especially in the prepared statement, I saw something that I had never seen before in a human being. And I came to realize that every monster I've ever known was just a story in a book, no matter how real-seeming or frightening.
When it comes to water and toilet paper, the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Fear is a multiplier, the more it's widely accepted, the more it grows. While there seems to be no connection right now between Coronavirus and running out of Charmin, that connection has been made out of fear and ignorance. And now, the legit fear of not being able to buy the basics because of others' panic-buying, is justified and multiplies all other fears.

When you start listening to Donald Trump’s attacks on his adversaries, perceived or imaginary, through that lens you realize he is ‘projecting’ his own malfeasance and evil intent onto others.
What I see is another division being created in our already-marginalized community.
Trump is a thug and a bully. He insults, mocks, belittles; and now, damns and curses anyone who disagrees with his methods. He reminds you more of a schoolyard bully that loses their nerve if you challenge them.

For Whom The Dell Tolls

0
Dell and many other corporations are having difficulty dealing with a workforce that is becoming obsolete with the advancement of AI technology, a problem most corporations ignored earlier, believing they have time or that they will always need the level of employees they have to provide the products and services they offer to the general public and their overseas customers.

Affirmative Action, D.E.I., Voting Rights, They Want It All – Addendum

These are not people who care about a democratic republic form of governance. For them, giving people rights is non-conducive to what they want to do, dominating and controlling everything they see in their sight line. They believe this will enhance their bottom line and make them even more decadent than they are currently.
