Troll Tricks

As we all know, there's a big difference between wanting to engage folks with varying opinions in conversation and just plain old garden variety trolling. When you see the following techniques employed -- you know that you've found yourself a genuine troll. Bless his li'l heart...
What do you do now that Republicans won a wave election? Just what Republicans did when Democrats won wave elections in 2008 and 2012. Become intransigent and refuse to work with them because America made clear they want a President who'll block Republicans and represent their values. Easy peasy!
I knew things were going to go badly in NY. I am no spring chicken, and the vast majority of voters were older than me (we're trending into the 60-90 year old range).
The halo effect. Tip O'Neill said that all politics are local. Not last night. All politics were national. 6 years of negativity about the President paid off. Every election was a test of Obama's popularity.
Too many Americans have become "dumb" voters, they vote on little more than emotion. They feel upset at DC so they knee jerk vote for the party that doesn't control the White House...even though it is the party they're voting for that has caused the problems that led to their being upset.
It's election night and there's no better place to spend it than in our real time live chat here at PlanetPOV!
A lot of money has been spent on a tiny Missouri state assemby race by the GOP....by our estimates six times the average. Why? There is no way she was ever going to win. Why throw so much money at so small a race? The Grand Strategy at Work!
Has this ever worked? Have Democrats ever succeeded as a party by agreeing with Republicans, "I suppose you're right, The President from our party IS a dick!"? If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, the Democratic Party may need to hold its next convention in Arkham Asylum.
As part of their attempt to soften their image with voters just ahead of of next week's election, top names from the GOP have donned their Halloween costumes and are offering a trick...or treat...for America.
The Republican tension between satisfying the base and appealing to the entire electorate will be made significantly worse if the party controls both houses of Congress. The Republicans will get almost none of the practical things they want, and their political headaches will be multiplied.

Dell and many other corporations are having difficulty dealing with a workforce that is becoming obsolete with the advancement of AI technology, a problem most corporations ignored earlier, believing they have time or that they will always need the level of employees they have to provide the products and services they offer to the general public and their overseas customers.

These are not people who care about a democratic republic form of governance. For them, giving people rights is non-conducive to what they want to do, dominating and controlling everything they see in their sight line. They believe this will enhance their bottom line and make them even more decadent than they are currently.
