Has American politics jumped the shark? Should it be cancelled and replaced with another reality show? Perhaps a spinoff about the Republican-controlled House that is committed to doing nothing to help Americans, maybe titled, "American Idle"?

When it comes to being tone deaf and tone blind and tone dumb, the Repub's have cornered the market in 2012.

The GOP claims to be the party of law and order but fights to let terrorists and the mentally ill people buy semi-automatics at gun shows. Some might call this hypocrisy but Republican marketing guru Frank Luntz might use a snappy, focus group tested phrase for it like, "Freedumb".

We know we're speeding towards the edge of the cliff and when we reach it, the two inch drop could kill us! If it gave us a heart attack. Which is what the wealthy and the media out there are trying to give us.

The Republican Party wants to resurface as a reasonable alternative to the Democrats but they are underwater and have an anchor tied around their ankles, named The Tea Party.

Karl Rove: "Hold on, I think it's far too early to say that the Titanic sunk. I have been refreshing my news browser and there is still 3% of the Titanic that is not below water so I find it quite curious and premature to declare that the Titanic has sunk."

Would the nation stand up and say no to the oligarchs who are trying to buy this country for themselves? Well I see I should have had faith all along.

Something interesting happened in 2007.  A little-known US Senator from Illinois cast his hat into the ring on a frosty day in Springfield,IL.  I watched that speech that day, and while I was moved by his words and passion, my own cynicism led me to mutter “good luck buddy” when he was finished, the deck was so stacked against him.

keeping in mind that today is the MSM's bachelor party for propaganda, their last chance to go wild and have irresponsible intercourse with the public, it may be a good day to stay away from these crazed and desperate channels and spend the day with a good book...or ballot info.
