After reading Ad Lib’s very witty piece about Republican Academy Nominations for film, I thought this would be be a good time to have
a music thread of theme songs and soundtracks from your favorite movies and television series.

There is quite a lot to choose from, so pick your favorites, and have some fun. And don’t forget to smile while doing so! 😉

Soundtrack The Departed – I’m Shipping Up To Boston – Dropkick Murphys

Cavatina (Theme from ‘The Deer Hunter’)

The Blues Brothers (6/9) Movie CLIP – Everybody Needs Somebody

Heisenberg Song Breaking Bad(English Subs)

I Dream of Jeannie

  1. FORBIDDEN PLANET Soundtrack

Still one of the all time best sci-fy movies ever made. Way ahead of it’s time.

    The Greatest American Hero

This was hilarious, because he didn’t know how to land. :)

    • Ah yes! It’s funny, I just rewatched this film a few days ago. As good as ever, and one of the most intelligent “sci-fy,” movies ever made. Who could ever forget Klaatu and Gort, the super powerful robot capable of destroying the world. Patricia Neil and Michael Rennie were really good in this.

    • Wow, I’ve never heard of this series before. I wonder how many TV shows, or pilots were made that didn’t see much air time.

KT, I started to challenge your memory of this series. I loved it when it first aired. It was soooo high tech 😀

Only 12 episodes aired, but 13 were made. So I guess I was the only person who liked the show. If you get a chance, check out an episode on Youtube.

There’ve been a lot of great TV picks on this thread, I’ve been focused mostly on films so here’s a tv pick, who remembers this one?
