Baghdad, Blowback and Bush

“Perhaps Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and members of Congress like McCain will, at long last, be subject to the public scrutiny they deserve.”

If only, Murf. If only.

Thanks, EXFANOFARIANA (I was never a “fan” of Zsa Zsa Huffington, but did enjoy the HP for a few years)

I knew from the beginning that GeorgeChaney wanted to get Sadam, even if they had to turn that Westernized country into a cesspool in the process.

The neck-breaking twisty turn from going after the Evildoers in Afghanistan to taking aim at Saddam in one Special Report was truly stunning. I happened to be watching the news that day and all I could say was “WTF??!!”

But, afterall, “He tried to kill my Dad!”

Naive, cunning or inept “Dr”.C. Rice and crew ignored every and all warnings, including the report from the Hart-Rudman Commission.

Horriffic and vile. Some people make me wish that Hell really exists.

An Open Letter To Any And All “Conservatives”

Hi, City Gardener: Definitely sad my lone effort wasn’t able to stop the flow of votes from all of those Rs who wanted Clinton impeached for a lie about sex. If anyone should have been impeached in recent history, it was George Cheney.

Glad you had more success putting an end to the unbidden calls & “letters” than I had. I, too, called multiple times. It was somewhat interesting to see their slant on a variety of topics, but I had better things to do. At least, I brought the mailings on myself; you were innocent. Does the Party in NC simply assume that everyone who lives in the state is an R? lol.

BTW, the horrendous outpouring of bigotry & racism that started during the ’08 campaign prompted me to change my registration back to my original “D”.

Good morning all. CityGardener, back in ’99, I was registered as an Independent and had to choose a party affiliation in order to vote in the CO primary.I registered as an “R” to vote against George W. Bush becoming the “R” candidate.I’d seen the interview in which he oh-so-smugly laughed that he couldn’t name any foreign leaders and generally showed his ignorance and lack of an inquiring mind. I would not have voted for any of the “R” candidates, but I assumed that GWB would be the candidate and that he would win. Sadly, I was correct. I switched back to “I” afterward, but it took quite a bit of time & effort to end the mailings from the Colorado Republican Party. All I can say now, derisively is “Heckova job, Georgie.”

Huffington Post Finalizes Its Divorce From Its Bloggers

Hello MTS3. Great comments, as usual. All Things Must Pass. Nothing Is Forever. Etc. Etc.

I just took a look at this morning’s Front Page at Huffy; what a bunch of fluff and nonsense. Like watching a close friend get sick and slowly perish. I hadn’t even known AOL was still around until the sad connection to Huffy was revealed. That was the beginning of the end. A slow, sad death.

But enough of the morosity! Very impressive list of Badges you garnered!! I opted out of the Badge Program upon its inception, so I have no honors to show for my many thousands of comments, sigh.

I sincerely appreciate your directing me here to the Planet. I had been searching around for a new ‘home’ for some time, as Huffy became increasingly silly. The connection to FB was the clincher for me; it brought in so many more juvenile and nasty posters who changed the atmosphere. My input decreased and I spent increasing amounts of time on the Science page. I did like the format at HP and this one will take some getting used to. Unfortunately, there are some BIG changes going on in my life that will take me away from spending so much time online. I will be checking in and looking forward to many enjoyable hours here in the not-too-distant future. Carry on!

Hello PlanetPOV, Goodbye Huff’n Puff! All Hail MurphtheSurf3!!! Thanks for your good works.

One of the things I liked about HP was the simple format; looks like I’ll have to do some studying here. I do NOT have a FB account, and like many others, foresaw the HP mess when they stopped letting me comment. Sure, I could “like” the comments of others (whoop de dam do, to borrow a phrase from one of the leading thinkers on the SC), but even that little toe in the water came to an end. Shunned and discarded. ouch!

Hoping to see many of my “fans” and Friends here at PPOV as well as making new relationships.

Having commented there since ’07, I leave behind a slew of comments. Have any of you somehow saved yours as a reminder of times past, or simply forgotten about them and moved on? I’ve always been something of an archivist, so pondering what to do before cutting that final tie to the past.

Short Posts

Happy Saturday to all!

I’m in the midst of a move and should be packing, so briefly, to all the fine Planet Denizens who have replied to my earlier comments, I am NOT ignoring you! I haven’t had the luxury of sitting down at my desk.

It may take a while post-move to get situated again, but I will return!

Carry on!

Oh, to have more money than brains!Throwing away hundreds of thousands on FAUX historic wine. awwwww. Money obviously means nothing to him.

Surely, I’d find much better things to do with that money.

Thanks for the welcome, Kalima. Still learning to navigate the site!

Oh! Ain’t that a shame.

A toast with Bill Koch’s faux historic wine!

Thanks, Kalima.

KOCH ALERT!

Anyone channel surfing the MSM last night? I happened to catch something that made me literally laugh out loud:

Apparently Billionaire Bill Koch spends hundreds of thousands of his dollars, the ones that don’t go to buying Conservative Politicians and destroying democracy, filling his humongous Wine Cellar.

He’d been ripped off on some crates of fake historic bottles and, as he was recounting his sad tale to the host, HE BROKE DOWN CRYING.

Best laugh of the week!

Overdue For Extinction

Ah, yes… The Yellowstone Caldera!

Why fret about a little ‘ol rock from space when there’s a bubbling, brewing cauldron of hellfire right here on our Blue Marble?

What? Me Worry?

Help Desk

Hello! Having a little problem: when I get an email notice that there is a response to my comment, I click on the “click here” to view it, but it takes me back to the TOP of the Time Out For OT column. Recent time in memory was to early January 2013. I’ve tried paging down, but that doesn’t take me where I’m trying to go.

Please tell me what I’m doing wrong so I can see the reply and perhaps write another comment to that person.

Thank You!
