Would the nation stand up and say no to the oligarchs who are trying to buy this country for themselves? Well I see I should have had faith all along.

Something interesting happened in 2007.  A little-known US Senator from Illinois cast his hat into the ring on a frosty day in Springfield,IL.  I watched that speech that day, and while I was moved by his words and passion, my own cynicism led me to mutter “good luck buddy” when he was finished, the deck was so stacked against him.

When given a choice between progressive American community values and the values of extreme individualism and greed, progressive values appear to have the upper hand.

As this democratic version of national waterboarding comes to a close, it's a good time to reflect on the many moments we've shared together as Americans. Especially all of the mistakes of the candidates, the pundocracy and the Mainstream Media in general.

While the Mega-Rich Businesses are being "outed" for election tactics that intimidate, some small businesses are doing the same thing - though not necessarily for the same reasons.

Thinking the unthinkable. As horrible as it is to think of this, the wise are doing just that.
