Reprinted from “DocStrangelove’s” message on the HadEnoughington Post…

“For what it’s worth, I just heard from my friend on the west coast known as “MrCreosote” and it seems that he is NOT currently in limbo as originally thought.

He told me that his profile is now gone and it appears that he has been rendered an official “non person” on this site.

He was never warned of this impending action, nor has he had any communication from HP whatsoever. Just, “poof”, as he said to me.

He did tend to P.O. the powers that be here. Heck, I probably would as well if I came here as often, but I only post every once in a long while.

He asked to wish all of his fans here, and, in his own words, “even the dimwits”, a very Happy Thanksgiving!

He told me how disappointed he was and how sorry he was to see what had happened to this once vibrant place and that he probably won’t be back… deciding to go to another “Planet” where one can speak one’s mind without fear of institutionalized retribution.

Although he is a J.ewish Athiest (his words, not an oxymoron), he offered this missive from First Corinthians (13:11) as his swan song;

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”

There, I done my duty.

Here is my 5 pence worth Mo. For the last 10 years, I have not worn a coat, gloves or boots here in the winter. The summers are hotter, more humid, if that is possible, and longer. It is almost the end of November, just had two days where I turned off the heater until the evening. Asia is getting hotter, the last real snow we had in Tokyo was a few years ago. When I arrived here 30 years ago, we had four seasons, now we have only two, very hot and mild.

Europe has a;ways been very cold in the winter and so has the U.K. As a kid we had over 2 meters of snow every year in Germany, it’s nothing new.

      Hello to everyone.

      • Mogamboguru says:

But you shouldn’t sell off your coat, gloves or boots on Ebay yet, Kalima.

The Arctic Ocean is freezing at an unprecedented pace actually. I kid you not.

If climate is a pendulum, it has just reversed it’s course and is gaining speed now while it swings in the other direction.

        See here:

        Taken from http://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/

If the freezing of the Arctic Ocean

        • Kalima says:

No I won’t sell my coats, gloves and boots Mo, I usually give my things away but I doubt that Asia will cool down much during my lifetime, a mild winter has already been predicted, darn it. I bought “Snuggies” for my hubby and me in anticipation of howling, cold winds and pristine snow flurries. I also look good in the layered look. :)

          I’m homesick! :(

          • Mogamboguru says:

Come to Germany for Christmas. There’s no better time for a journey back home to Germany than Chrismas, for Christ’s sake!

            😉

            • Kalima says:

If I was well enough to travel Mo, I would have been around the world twice already. Sometimes life sucks.

Hubby came back from a 5 day trip to Berlin on the 3rd. I have my Lebkuchen and marzipan for Christmas already.

    • AdLib says:

      Nice overview Mo.

Add to that the conveyor of ocean currents that brings warm water from the south up north to Europe for example.

If the temperature dynamics that keep that conveyor going shift in the north, the conveyor could slow or cease and Europe’s coasts would have the potential of freezing in the winter, colder temperatures could result year round and cause all kinds of problems.

    • nellie says:

Hey, I hope you’re right. I don’t think you are.

At any rate, there’s nothing wrong with pursuing clean, renewable energy. It’s healthier and smarter. And it keeps us independent.

    • BigDogMom says:

Mo, look forward to it…have already coated my perennial gardens with a layer of leaves to prevent the plants from heaving up from a deeper than normal frost.

Another thing, the dogs winter coats have become thicker this year and shedding has already become a big problem due to the fact they are in the warm air of the house.

Oh well, no outfit is complete without dog hair!

Now YOU tell me why you love S’arah, Since I know now what her supporters think

    • nellie says:

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don’t know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don’t know we don’t know.

And when it comes to Sarah Palin, there are unkonwn knowns — things that we know, but we don’t have the vaguest idea why we know them.

    • BigDogMom says:

I love Sarah cause she is just so gosh darn nice…and um, she really knows about…um ya know, common sense stuff like…um, like, um….foreign policy, ya know…she can see that ol’pudden head Putang rear his ugly head in Russia from her state, Alaska isn’t it? Well you know he’s going to bomb us, don’t ya, Glen Beck says so.

She is the for the common everyday person, she knows, ya know, she does….because um…she just does. A really really family oriented women….look she brings her kids with her every where.

The other thing that I really like is that she is…um… she’s really, really pretty and that makes all those pinko commie socialistic libby’s really really jealous…ha ha ha!!!!

Oh yeah, and she’s really really smart and that makes the liberal and elite media angry….um, they like, um….they pick on her and that’s not fair, it’s because she is pretty and smart, that’s why….

Her common sense solutions like…um…what’s his name, he’s dead…um, he was one of our best presidents, um, Ronald Reagan, that’s it!…I’m really really nervous, speaking to you….because, um, I think your going to twist my words….just like they do to Sarah….

      Bless her heart!

      • escribacat says:

        LOL. Love it, BDM.

      • Mogamboguru says:

        A ZINGER!

        LOL! :-)

        • BigDogMom says:

Mo, made a big pot of chicken soup while posting this afternoon…smells good!

Hubby’s putting a prime rib roast in the oven as I type, got it at a real good price at a small butcher shop in our neighborhood, $7.99 lb., had to have it.

      • bitohistory says:

BDM, I think you pretty much have it covered. Your comment is worth a 15 min. segment on Faux News. In fact I think you a 1/2 daily show. 😆
        Very good MOM!

        • BigDogMom says:

Damn that McCain for lifting that rock that she came out from under…

Thanks, but I think Monk can and will do it better than I when he sees your post….

My final thoughts on Sarah…or should I say prayer for her:

May a very large scandal come to light in the next few months, so large that she will recede from the public spotlight forever and ever, so help us God!

In the name of the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost, please hear my plea…Amen.

  4. bitohistory says:

This quote is from Katha Pollitt of “The Nation”. She was writing about SP, but her description of the Huff was pretty good:

The one thing Palin seems to know how to do is use the media’s infatuation with celebrity, hotness and women’s bodies to aggrandise herself. As Bill O’Reilly told her, “You are the biggest threat because you are a star

    • escribacat says:

Hehe. What a great quote. Love that Katha Pollitt.

    • nellie says:

Wow, what a great quote. And what a spot on description of the Huffington Post.

It’s such a shame. That business had such potential. And now, it’s a laughing stock. It’s really too bad.

I think we can thank Reagan for Sarah Palin. The GOP did such a good job of convincing its base that government is a joke, that it’s useless — they think a joke of a useless person is qualified to be president.

The GOP base is going to kill the Republican Party.

    • Mogamboguru says:

I know I deserve a beating for this -- but:

I think, that Sarah Palin, Ariannah Huffington AND Hillary Clinton have all found ways to fight the negative psychological effects of the pre-/post-Menopause by replacing personal attraction with public attention.

People go for all the love they need where they find it. And all three seem to have decided to enter a love affair with the public, to feel loved, rather than find a man to give them, what they need.

And don’t get me started over the fake marriages SP and HRC are still maintaining with their so-called “husbands”.

      You know, what I mean.

      • escribacat says:

Yeah, that seems a bit sexist to me. How would you describe Limbaugh, Beck, and other males always jockeying for the spotlight?

        • BigDogMom says:

Must be that male menopause that everyone talks about.

You know when the testosterone starts to slip away and the use of Viagra is needed. Sports cars are bought, they loose weight and color their hair with “For Men Only”!

    • BigDogMom says:

Afternoon here in windy CT, how’s it going? I very rarely post on HP anymore, the articles have become so trite, it’s like reading the Enquirer.

SP and Wall Street, (Tim Geithner), bashing seem to be the thing now there. Both generate a lot of clicks per story, it’s all about the bottom line to the Queen, it has nothing to do with principles or political beliefs.

      • bitohistory says:

BDM, I left you a link on nellie’s post Black Friday. It’s some more on the filibuster.
Saw that storm in the NE, this is about your third one this fall. Seems to early.

        • BigDogMom says:

Thanks, I saw and read it this morning, too bad this silly loophole can’t be changed, it’s just bizarre the way the majority rule is stopped short by this one thing.

Yes, this is our third storm this fall, but we didn’t have a big hurricane season this year, thank god. We have sustained winds at 10-15 MPH, it’s been gusting up to 30 here where we are on the water. At least the sun has come out, hasn’t shone here for the last three days and things are drying up.

        • Mogamboguru says:

Things like that happen, while the world is cooling again… 😉

          • BigDogMom says:

Hey Mo, tell my iris that. They have bloomed for the third time this season! Just kidding, actually I have created some micro climates here in my gardens, just so I can grow some specialty plants, easy to do with wind breaks to keep the heat in.

Yes it is cooling, May and June the temps were much lower than normal. My growing season this year was 2-3 weeks behind what it should have been and ended earlier than normal this fall. Very wet fall this year.

            • Mogamboguru says:

              High, BigDogMom.

Thank you for sharing your sober observations. Many people think, that I have become a teabagger lately, while I am only stating the obvious. Worldwide, temps are in a substantial downtrend for the past years already, and I wouldn’t be surprised the least, if we got a really, really harsh winter this time. I will explain the facts in a blogpost next week. Until then, I’d find it a good idea of you to prepare yourself for a long, hard winter.

            • BigDogMom says:

I look forward to your article next week, as an avid gardener for my practically my whole life, started at age 6 by planting pole beans and morning glories in my Mother’s best spot in the yard. I watch the weather and temp quite closely, also how plants and animals are reacting.

I know we are going to have a tough winter when the Maple trees produce an over abundance of seeds, (what people call those little helicopters or twirly things), and the squirrels start burying nuts in my garden in Aug.

Nature will always give you a heads up to what’s coming down the road with her little hints, the thing is, is to aware enough to see those hints.

Isn’t it true that when there was melting of the ice caps, it cools the gulf stream, thus the cooler air temps?
Something like the “little ice age” in the 1880-90’s?

The real break (Or should I say “Rapture”…?) in Simpleton’sPost’s moderation came, when Arianna sold her soul to the bunch of institutional investors back in November 2008 for 23 million bucks.

You could INSTANTLY notice a change of tune in the forum: Suddenlky, hate-posters popped up like mushrooms in a wet darkroom, to provoke serios debaters and stoke them for angry answers, which, in turn, produced even more hits, hits, hits…

I am still convinced that a good number of the haters at Huffy are paid Agents Provocateurs, who get their bucks for keeping the traffic up on slow days by provoking angry answers to their spiteful, resentful comments by normal posters.

Nobody in his right mind would positively believe that people like Flossy, GringoLingo, Ramirez and others could survive their spitefull, divicive commenting only one day, if they didn’t enjoy protection and a special treatment by Huffy’s moderators.

I have said it before and I stick to it: Flossophy himself is a moderator, who shakes posters up to get more hits on the site, when traffic is slow.

But yes: There’s no reason to go over there for a serious debate anymore. Expect my next, serious blogpost here on the Planet in a few days.

    Let the games begin… 😎

    • KevenSeven says:

      Gringo is particularly inexplicable.

Ramirez is irritating, but not utterly insufferable.

Flossy should be stood up against a wall and shot.

      • BigDogMom says:

Flossy is an contradicting ass, Gringo and Ramirez are baiters….and very intelligent posters fail for it everytime.

There’s a new one that is popping up every where and that is acapo. Definately a paid poster to instigate more clicks on the smaller articles. Quite an annoying twit.

  6. deygirl says:

I know it’s probably just the convenient rearrangement of memory, but I remember--I swear-- a time when hp was FUN, and the people were not so divided into gangs. Seems like everyone there is running on pure hate, and the issues are simply the excuse for unloading.

    • rabiddog6708 says:

The moderation really is driving me crazy. And everyone seems so closed minded and not much debating or discussion.

      • deygirl says:

Hey, D! So good to see you here!!!!

        • FeloniousMonk says:

Hey, Deygirl. Good to see you “out” this evening! Thanks for the call. :-) I see the story at HP has gone from outrageous behavior to merely child like. Oh, well.

      • Mogamboguru says:

        Doggonnit, Rabiddog! 😎

        Hi, old friend!

Nice to have you here! Most people here are still out of house, running errands and shopping and stuff. But this place will soon pick up speed and will be humming with activity. Stay tuned!

      • escribacat says:

Hi rabiddog, I was trying to reply to one of your posts the other day and it disappeared for unfathomable reasons. There was nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Welcome to the Planet!

    • AdLib says:

Oh yeah, it was about two years ago this month I started at HuffPo and it was a very different place there. Trolls were rare and when they appeared, members wuold just mention to flag it and within a few refreshes, the troll’s comment would be gone.

There used to be a sense of camaraderie at Huffy back then and a very good rapport between Mods and the members.

The HuffPo of today bears zero resemblance to the HuffPo I joined and began my blogging “career” on. I am very pleased though that the collegial sensibility that used to be there and some of my original friends now reside here at The Planet.

      • deygirl says:

What happened? I was there, I could feel the shift. I just can’t figure out what made it happen.

        • AdLib says:

One point I haven’t seen made yet is that HuffPo was in the midst of selling a $25 million, $100 million valued stake in HuffPo to Oak Investment Partners when Bill O’Reilly started publicly attacking HuffPo for hosting hate talk against Bush and Republicans.

Voila! Instantly, horribly oppressive controls on bloggers were slapped on and though the extreme degree was eventually dialed back a but…after the $25 million was secured, the censorship of members and the heavy control of comments and articles to shape the corporatist message the site promotes is now deeply rooted in the site.

          • Mogamboguru says:

Tell it like it is, AdLib!

The NuttingtonPost all about the money -- nothing else.

          • nellie says:

I remember that, AdLib. O’Reilly was whining about some comment about him on HP — if you go to his site and read the comments, wear protective gear so as not to get spewed — and immediately, posts that mentioned his name started to get scrubbed.

That was very strange. And it has gotten progressively worse. You can’t even type the words Rush Limbaugh. Why would HP want to protect that hatemonger?

There’s a bigger issue here than HP — corporate control of our information.

            • AdLib says:

My take on that is that there are naturally Republicans who are managing partners in Oak Investment Partners and they don’t want one of their investments going too far in attacking someone who advances their political and financial interests.

            • nellie says:

              Yep, that’s it exactly.

            • Mogamboguru says:

              ZING!

              Exactly!

        • nellie says:

It did used to be a lot more fun, Dey. People never got banned (I think that’s a weird thing the site does -- just delete the comment if it’s offensive), and you didn’t see a lot of nonsense posted.

The first change came when they changed the format of the threads. There used to be a much freer layout, and threads would get very long, with sometimes as many as 20 sub-layers to one comment. That was a couple of years ago. Then they changed the format to allow only 3 layers — that was when a series of changes started. (That change is gone now, although only three layers show without clicking to drop down the other layers.) It made conversations a lot more difficult. And that’s also when people started complaining about the hamfisted management of the site.

The stories didn’t start to change until the primaries between Obama and Clinton. At least that’s when I noticed a change in tone. You have to wonder if all the fighting between camps made the site a lot of money — and the only way they can keep up that kind of traffic is to encourage more fighting.

          • KevenSeven says:

Arianna absolutely detests HRC. Which certainly was reflected in the editorial stance of the site. Krikie, I almost feel sorry for the Clintonistas, they were a lonely bunch.

If I had to scoff one more time at the assertion that caucuses were not fair, or valid or democratic, I probably would have exploded.

Arianna does not actually believe anything, except that it would be good if she were more famous tomorrow than she is today. And more so the day after.

            • nellie says:

She definitely wants to be a mover and a shaker. And the media toys with her, giving her the impression that she has actual influence. But she has none. (Perhaps there is some jealousy of HRC — there’s no reason to detest her.)

She had a chance, when the Obama administration was new — he was calling on her people. But she squandered that opportunity by being sloppy and unprofessional. So now, she is resentful, and her site shows it.

            • KevenSeven says:

I don’t know what reason has to do with it, but I am certain that Arianna detests HRC.

            • Kalima says:

That’s what happens when you love yourself too much and blindly believe that everyone else must love you too. I can only hope that it made her really hopping mad, would have payed to be a fly on the wall.

            • escribacat says:

I haven’t seen any of Gibbs’ news conferences lately. Is he not calling on Huffers any more? I do think she was pissed that she wasn’t invited to the State dinner … and deliberately stepped up the Obama bashing.

    • escribacat says:

There are some extremely toxic people who get their ya-ha’s by trying to get others upset. Look at this link that little HP pet girl just posted. It’s inflammatory and racist, and her retort when questioned is that rappers are allowed to use this kind of language:

EDIT: Arrg. I meant to respond to your post but this link really pissed me off! You are right, dey. There is an infectious poison taking hold. BTW, I read your post the other night. I thought it was touching and heartfelt and I sent you a virtual hug. It was really too bad the above-mentioned evil empty-husk bitch was there to piss on it. Can a human being still operate without a soul? I can now say YES.

  7. Grabamop/Obama20082012 says:

Agent86 tried to get back on today, and he was banned in about an hour. But there is a hateful stalker over there that has several different names. What is a sock by the way?

  8. KevenSeven says:

Good old Huff. Doing their damndest to drive traffic to the planet.

As for Atomic, he was banned a few days before kevenseven. I finally burned my bridges over there demanding that Atomic be reinstated. Him and Agent86.

    • johnie2xs says:

Just out of curiosity.I’ve been banned from the Halfadunce Post four times, under “johnie2xs”, “masso435”, “masso427”, “Jasper48”, and now post under “1shamus1”; My question-- Am I vying for a record of some sort,or am I just a legend in my own mind?;)

      By the way, Happy Thanksgiving,folks.

      • KevenSeven says:

Very much in your own mind.

I think of the commenters that I like over there, JohnCT/VolvoBirkenstock; he of thirty five or fifty other monikers, has you beat, but good.

KevenSeven was the seventh iteration of my moniker, and I have had about seven or ten other monikers. I don’t call them socks, because I did not use them simultaneously.

Nah, four is next to nothing.

        • johnie2xs says:

KS; Understand there was a little tongue in cheek in my statement. I figured there were those who had been 86’d more times, I just wanted to get an idea as to how many. Whenever I get bumped again
(which I’m sure is inevitable) I’d like to find out how they managed so many names. I’m running out of e-mail addresses to use. I want to find the secret so that I can make their lives as miserable as I can. God knows they deserve it.

        • WLA says:

With how animated and, well… colorful my language gets over there, it surprises the hell out of me that I have only been banned once.

  9. Khirad says:

You know, a mod (via LadyNaga) was floating the idea of setting up OT freethreads over there yesterday, and now they’re killing music nights? Honestly…

    • escribacat says:

I just saw a conversation about SharpDressedMan and a post from LadyNaga who said she thought he was over on the “other site.” Is he someone here? (under a different name?)

    • PatsyT says:

How does that work? mod via LadyNaga

      • Khirad says:

That’s what I was wondering. Said she got an email of a mod who wanted to get in touch with the other regular users about their thoughts on an OT thread for us.

BTW, your planet post hasn’t been raptured yet.

        • PatsyT says:

I noticed -wow- I can fly under the radar screen, well lets see how that goes.
I am looking forward to what they put together here, now and in the future

        • escribacat says:

They must want to move all the youtube posting and private chats — it sounds good to me. Does LadyNaga work for HuffPo or something?

Edit: I feel kind of bad when I see someone post to those threads who wants to talk about the topic. They’ll say “Hey, what’s all this music and chat stuff? Nobody talking about the topic?” And invariably the poster gets jumped on. The “scene” does take over a thread.

          • AdLib says:

The problem is, the trolls and the cliques will still be on such a thread in full force.

These things don’t always go as planned.

The repression and word filter will remain in full force, it’s a site wide thing.

Having members in a pressure cooker all week there then sending them to an open thread…well, it would be interesting to see how it would go if it ever happened.

          • Khirad says:

Yes, that was what the expressed stated purpose was for, escribecat. I’m on both threads right now. She does seem to know software, she’s trying to help people get around the YouTube block. BTW daily motion links work! mwahahaha! Maybe she’s like a good mod? I dunno. Don’t much like talking behind her back, either. I feel bad for those people too -- I was once one of them! (though back then I hit and run so thankfully never saw all the abuse invariably assailing me).

          • PatsyT says:

Beats me- I wonder about a lot of people over there
who works and who does not?
I think I can kinda tell the auto trolls.

            • Khirad says:

What’s weird to me is our most loathed one, who seems to almost have changed personalities after she was away for a while. Maybe it’s just me, but the whole Ron Paul thing seems new.

            • PatsyT says:

Don’t trust that one for one second .

  10. AdLib says:

To mark HuffPo’s recent fervor in banning top bloggers who dare to criticize them, killing music threads, here’s a message aimed right at their sorry little heads:

You need to work up a special “Music to Serenade HuffPo By” evening and invite everyone who is over there.

I did see the comments over there about the YouTube links being down. I think the “control” they hope to regain is going to destroy them. :-)

You are in good company, tonight, I think they banned music over there, so there you go.
Ever notice trolls do not post much music or at least any good music??

Happy Thanksgiving back to … Mr. Creosote and Doc Strangelov.

I would like to point out that I’ve noticed a change in tone in the threads I’ve been on. The usual routine: HP posts a screaming headline with a poorly constructed story — usually designed to get the lefties all worked up. Most of the lefties get all worked up. The trolls arrive to gloat. Then more and more posters arrive and question the headline, question the story, question the motivation behind posting that particular story with that particular slant, and question whether AH really is a progressive or has she gone back to her former rightwing self. Pretty soon some of the people who were all worked up are taking another look. The tone of the thread turns around — sometimes completely around. I have seen this a LOT lately and this is a good thing.

I say tell Mr. Creosote to make another sock and get back out there. He influenced a lot of others to question and think.

I’ve started to do this with McClatchy and CSM as well. And with several “so-called progressive” whiners. It needs to be done everywhere, until the media realizes its audience cares about quality.

Looks like HuffPo served MrCreosote a “wa-fer theen meeent”.

Always look on the bright side of life.

Just remember that you’re standing on a Planet that’s evolving and revolving at 900 miles an hour.

Here…every post is sacred, every post is great. If a post is wasted, Mod gets quite irate.

No one expects The Huffish Inquisition!

And now for something completely different…

    • WLA says:

      Wink-wink, nudge-nudge, say no more…

      • PatsyT says:

Love all the Monty Python !!
I don’t think trolls get that either.

      • AdLib says:

Oh, I’m sorry, just one moment. Is this a five minute argument or the full half hour?

      • Khirad says:

        Beat me to it. 😉

        • WLA says:

Mr. Creosote’s not pinin,’ he’s passed on! This profile is no more! It has ceased to be! It’s expired and gone to meet its maker! This is a late moniker! It’s a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed him to the perch he would be pushing up the daisies! Its metabolical processes are of interest only to historians! It’s hopped the twig! It’s shuffled off this mortal coil! It’s run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible! This…. is an EX-PROFILE!

          • AdLib says:

I never wanted to do HuffPo in the first place! I…I wanted to be…

            A Planetarian!

Leaping from thread to thread! As they float down the mighty tubes of the Internet! With my best mouse by my side!

            We’d blog! Blog! Blog!

            (SINGS)

            Oh, I’m a Planetarian, and I’m okay,
I blog all night and I sleep all day.

CHORUS: He’s a Planetarian, and he’s okay, he blogs all night and he sleeps all day.

I cut down trolls, I eat my lunch,
            I go to the lava-try.

            On Wednesdays I slam Huffy’
And have butthead Mods ban me.

            Oh I’m a Planetarian and I’m okay,
I blog all night and I sleep all day!

  14. WLA says:

Fuck Drudgington Post. Can I say that here?

Blue, good to see you around here. They banned me the same way before. A troll dropped an “N-Bomb” and I told him to do society a favor and off himself, and *poof* I was gone.

The truth is, if they allow an N-bomb through moderation and don’t allow a deservedly nasty reply, their moderators are assholes. Can I say that here?

They also tip their hand with the new “featured comments” section that have one featured decent comment and then two banal quips from one of the mods new favorite vapid nitwits like AbbottCostello or DingoLingo. Those, along with AustrianFool are just so obvious party-line nincompoops that they might as well be RNC interns (if they aren’t). How OBVIOUS does Drudgington need to be?

Not to mention their ridiculous promotion of tabloid-ish non-stories lately and ignorance of real news… and their obvious slant back toward Her Highness’s REAL roots.

Speaking of… she’s a wanna-be, and for the life of me, I have no idea what qualifies her to speak about anything or why I ever started hanging out at that site to begin with.

Long story a bit longer, I am only hanging out there slapping trolls around until I get banned again. Arianna can go piss up a rope.

In the end, it’s comforting to know that this place is around so that I can still find the good guys.

Again, good to see you, Blue. And Happy Turkey Eve.

    • AdLib says:

I am often asked, “Adlib, can we say ‘fuck’ here?”

Unfortunately, due to the sophisticated and easily offended artificial intelligence self-censoring server this site is on, the GoToHAL 2009, “fuck” can never ever appear in a post.

Not only that, no post will escape GoToHAL’s electronic CensorMaster filter if it contains the words, “shit”, “asshole” or “Arianna, you’re brilliant!”

It’s fucked up, I shit you not.

    • Khirad says:

I know, don’t they get that we only get really nasty in return to the original?

I still hang around for the people who aren’t banned (yet) and some troll slaying, as well.

      • WLA says:

I find troll slapping to be quite therapeutic. Especially since it’s not that hard to prove them wrong-headed, uninformed or just plain stupid 95% of the time. But I should probably be doing more relaxing or productive things with my spare time.

    • Kalima says:

You most certainly can say that here and that was what I said this April too.

Nice to see you again WLA, hope that life is treating you well?

      • WLA says:

Life is pretty darn good, thanks for asking. We have a 22-pound Godzilla of a turkey that is brining in the ice-box right now, and going into the oven about 15 hours. Local family is coming to our place this year, so my work is cut-out for me. :-)

I hope you and yours are also doing well, Kalima.

        • Kalima says:

That sounds like a big one, have a wonderful time if I don’t catch you before then.

We are doing ok thanks, only hubby works to darned hard all the time. He’s off to Barcelona next week and came back from Berlin on the 3rd of this month, at least he enjoys what he does, so there is a bright side.
