I hate when the little twits gloat. π » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 12:43 pm Don’t mention that hideous plastic atrocity………ugh…. π » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 12:37 pm You have to have more to draw them (more new posts, perhaps), IMO, and we need to drop more links, perhaps throughout the week, on HuffPost itself. We could also all add the link to our profiles. » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 12:07 pm Great post, Javaz! This guy needs as much attention as we can give him in order to bring him down. Scary dude, imo. » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 12:42 pm The Failed History of Conservatism in America Seen on HuffPost, as posted by LooktotheLeft, and very apropos to this thread: “Time for another heaping helping of Republican cake. I certainly don’t remember a period in history, at least since I’ve been alive, that they really did. » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 6:25 am I feel for ya!! If they’re willing to listen to you, that’s a good thing, and I would likely do the same. » Posted By nicole473 On November 1, 2009 @ 1:48 pm “Wouldn » Posted By nicole473 On November 1, 2009 @ 1:40 pm Yeah. Purely disgusting!! » Posted By nicole473 On November 1, 2009 @ 1:17 pm Great post, KQ. It reminded me of all the varied reasons why I am a Progressive, and why Progressives must keep speaking out on the issues. I think that the Republican Party itself is no longer the party of what were once called “Conservatives”. They are now an entity controlled by the far right, who are capable of being just as extreme as the Taliban if allowed to do so. True conservatives are now more closely aligned with Democrats, albeit, conservative (blue dogs) Democrats. My belief is that eventually, the two major parties will be the Progressives and the ConservaDems. In the meantime, because they are so dangerous to our way of life, we must marginalize the far right as much as possible. » Posted By nicole473 On November 1, 2009 @ 12:54 pm What she said. π » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 10:38 am Done. I used a free site, since I’m viewing it strictly as a public service sort of thing and don’t intend to turn it in to something more commercial. I like the Planet as it is, and having reading the comments of AdLib earlier, I tend to agree with him on this topic. http://huffpostextended.proboards.com/index.cgi » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 10:27 am Ha ha…..for sure. I am considering putting up a private forum, or at least partly private, where this kind of stuff can be discussed. I don’t think that the Planet should have a private area, and I do think that it would be useful to have one. Your thoughts? EDIT » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 10:14 am Grab, LN didn’t actually leave. At least her profile is still there. » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 10:10 am HP would be so much more enjoyable if people would refrain from publicly using it as a social network. That said, it is probably inevitable on any large site. It turns me off, however. And, no prob on the “judging” thing. I just call it as I see it. » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 10:08 am I am not a part of that group either, and LN has never done anything to me. I don’t know her, so will reserve judgement. I do think like yourself, that it was much ado about little/nothing. » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 10:04 am yes. » Posted By nicole473 On November 2, 2009 @ 9:33 amComments Posted By nicole473
1 cup of lies, h*ate, and innuendo
1/2 cup of repressed s*exuality
1 stick of nauseatingly fake religiosity
1 cup of jingoism (blind patriotism may be substituted)
2 teaspoons of fear mongering
1/2 teaspoon of shameless pandering
2 cups of harmful, v*ile, and inappropriate humor
a pinch of charlatanism (to taste)
I think most of us here are open to anything that is truthful, so fear not, Alpha. π
In my case I get so worked up, someone is liable to want to off me instead of change their opinion. π
to be perfectly truthful, i am already in the process of setting up said forum…….just trying to figure out if i should continue with it.
