Also while they pay lip service to God, to con their voters into voting for them, they are hard core atheists. It’s obviously just a game based on focus groups. Nixon is their role model. Divide and conquer. Use social issues to fool people into voting against their best interests. They have totally abandoned their roots going back to 1854. Now they have reached a point where they smell totally victory in their goal of starving the “beast.” Not just cutting all social spending to zero but eliminating hundreds of thousands of public safety workers while near complete anacrchy puts 80% of the population in grave danger from domestic insurrection. Then, only after the masses kill off most of themselves fighting for a few crumbs, they will call out the military to restore order. How else do you explain this? I think calling it nihilism is generalizing. There needs to be some kind of order. My brother lives in Wilmington, Delaware but it’s only 10 miles or so from Longwood so I’ve been there many times too. Every time I think of the book and movie, “The Shining” it reminds me of the topiary at Longwood. I’m hoping next year I’ll be able to go visit my brother and sister back east. My sister lives in Fairfax, VA only about a mile or so from the headquarters of the hated NRA. I saw the picture on the cover of Time magazine. It wasn’t just the US who enabled the sleaze ball Taliban, it was the Russians too. The chickens are now coming home to roost. The Russians not only bailed out and we followed them in 1991, but the war destroyed the Russian economy and government. If we don’t put our economic house in order the US will go the way of the Soviet Union. Funding a military machine that still wants high tech weapons to fight a nuclear holocaust while we are fighting global terrorism and counter insurgency in Afghanistan and Pakistan is ridiculous. The whig party was anti-slavery with a northern political base. When the whig party disbanded and became the republican party in 1854 it retained it’s northern roots. After the Civil War the republicans held the presidency except for Grover Cleveland, and Woodrow Wilson. Then Franklin Roosevelt was elected in 1932. Today, thanks to Nixon and Ronnie Raygun, regionalism has dissolved into a “free for all.” New England states, once a bastion of republicanism, are now firmly democratic. Southern and western states except for Utah and Idaho could go either way. Same thing with the midwest. Also Wilson was elcted because Teddy Roosevelt ran a third party campaign. The truth is more like knowledge is power but ignorance is emotional weakness.
