I’m not much of a football fan anymore, primarily because I think it’s become too much of a business — especially college ball. It was in our local paper yesterday that 3 Jr. players are opting out of their Sr. year to enter the NFL Draft. I don’t think they should be allowed to do that, but if they do, they should have to repay any scholarship monies they received for their first 3 years. After all, OSU is a state supported school and I’m sure the taxpayers have funded a portion of their scholarships. Bottom line with me anyway, it’s become too commercial and I disagree with the philosophy.
