The Voice

Em,

I have three kitties, and although they don’t sleep with me, they are usually sitting outside my bedroom door in the morning. And, mostly on weekends, if I’m not up when they decide they’re hungry, they make quite a bit of noise to get my attention. Meow! πŸ™‚

Maybe in her 9 year old mind, but you’re the Dad. Dads have special powers and “no” is one of the more important ones. πŸ™‚

How old is your daughter? It’s recommended for 16+, so if she isn’t, then you should think about telling her no and why so.

abby,

I’m not sure how old the photo is, but I haven’t seen him look so squeeky clean in a long time. If anything, he is looks more disheveled and radical.

btw – glad you liked the tuna commercial πŸ™‚

Morning Blog – 1-7-10

javaz,

Me too! All the time, my father was the absolute worst. It wasn’t until I was older that I understood who my father really was — a racist. I wouldn’t let him use the word in front of my kids and that just pissed him off even more. Gd this and Gd that. Just thinking about it makes my blood boil.

Oh, and not only that, the man and all of my family wouldn’t vote for Kennedy because he was Catholic. Guess what my dad said when he found out I was marrying an Italian? No Gd Catholic church, blah, blah, blah. Then when they found out I converted? Oh brother…

Cher,

If I remember correctly (and I’ve been looking for the correct info), the couple has two ceremonies. A civil ceremony which explains the western attire) and a traditional ceremony which is more elaborate in nature and steeped in ancient Chinese tradition.

I’ll keep looking though and let you know what I find.

Oh I’m sure some people are. I’m not much of a football fan anymore, primarily because I think it’s become too much of a business — especially college ball. It was in our local paper yesterday that 3 Jr. players are opting out of their Sr. year to enter the NFL Draft. I don’t think they should be allowed to do that, but if they do, they should have to repay any scholarship monies they received for their first 3 years. After all, OSU is a state supported school and I’m sure the taxpayers have funded a portion of their scholarships. Bottom line with me anyway, it’s become too commercial and I disagree with the philosophy.

Now ask me how I really feel? πŸ™‚

Hello javaz,

Right now it’s 19 in good old Columbus OH. We have a Winter Weather Advisory — it’s supposed to start snowing around 10 am and continue through out the day — maybe 4 or 5 inches — including blowing and drifting.

There are 2 subjects that drive the news around here — the weather and Ohio State Football, Basketball, and anything else related to OSU sports.

Good Evening Kalima,

I hope you’ve had a good day. Re: photo slideshow…I agree #3 is way cool, and I also liked #6.

The Harbin International Ice Festival in China is an annual event. Here are some more pictures I think you will find fascinating, I don’t know how they do it! Amazing!
