It was amazing to see all the people carrying around see through bags with multiple cartons of cigarretes with a very big “Smoking Kills” warning on the sides of the smokes. I wrestled with this problem for years and I know it is an addiction. Like any addiction, you have to be fully committed to stopping the cycle or you will never overcome it. Funny, how quickly the “side effects” go away when you quit, though. I had seen or actually read this story about Halliburton leaving supplies out in the desert when they broke down on Global Research. Some of their blogs are sometimes on the “conspiracy” side, but I have found alot of very insightful articles using actual “investigative journalism” there as well. One I read about H1N1 said the hype was all about selling vaccines, well it appears the flu virus never did manifest like we were all told it would, but big pharma did sell it’s vaccines. You just have to pick through the fact and fiction and check on facts. He wanted a golden retriever and was willing to give up toys to pay for it. We got Kelly and he immediately became a part of the family. I would go downstairs to wake my son for school and Kelly would be on the bed, with my son sleeping on the floor. When I asked him why? He said it was because Kelly took up too much room and he needed a bed more than my son. He ran away with Kelly one time (thinking he could sneak back in at night without us looking for him?). Unfortunately we had him such a short time, 2 years, someone thought it prudent to break the lock on our backyard gate and take him with them. We looked, sent out reward info, but never found him. Nigerians were a huge problem in the “identity theft” area. That was my speciality, not by choice, but because I dug so far I was able to stop alot of them. ICE is a major problem in this area and they would never take the initiative until Secret Service had charged the suspects even though illegals are supposed to be their area of control. The agencies do not talk to each other and the same people would come back in multiple times. I learned a great deal about immigration in those days and most of what I learned did not make me feel safe. We figured out early on their schemes and built a database that was very good at stopping them at the approval step but not before the bank had taken huge losses. And sometimes Christmas is over rated. I do love the holiday, but the commercialism takes away some of the joy for me. I have been to AME churches, Catholic, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Protestant, Episcopalian and finally settled on the UCC. I chose them because they are a very tolerant and liberal church. I like the camaderie how they welcome anyone with no questions and the easy way the minister has of speaking to us. They are more life lessons, rather than sermons. We have the reading of the scripture but it is done by a layman who does not try to interpret but leaves it up to the individual. I don’t know what it feels like to be an outsider in the sense that you do, but in my search for a church that I felt like I could fit in to, I can understand a little of what you are feeling. I just do a reply all and say, “you should probably check snopes prior to sending emails out that have been proven wrong, it will also help your credibility”. That way I let them know I am not falling in to their trap and let all their friends know it is not ok. Some of these people are so angry number 1 because they know their president was a total fuckup and they cannot stand the fact that the Dems have now put a brilliant man in the WH.
