PS did you get my vm? » Posted By SueInCa On November 30, 2010 @ 8:37 pm Marion You have it right. She is the coming Manchurian Candidate. People over at HP dismiss her as irrelevant, at their own peril. She is the ONE that the dominionists are putting forward to lead this nation in a godly manner. If people don’t start paying close attention to this freak show, they are going to wake up on Nov 4 or 5 2012 and wonder what the hell hit them. Like you say, the media is putting her out there and desperately fawning over the bitch. We will see if she can hold up to the debates and media access she won’t be able to avoid but I sincerely believe it is either her or Gingrich. He is also cozying up to the Dominionists. This is his website and if you look around enough he is now surrounded by New Apostolic Reformation(dominionists). http://www.torenewamerica.com/index.php Here is a website that Choice Lady passed on to me that tracks what the religious right is doing. She gets down and dirty http://godsownparty.com/blog/tag/christians/ » Posted By SueInCa On November 30, 2010 @ 8:29 pm Has Democracy Outlived Its Usefulness? Great article Adlib. You know, people choose or inherit their relgion in the same manner. How many people do you know that are attending a church where they have actually looked at the church doctrine or looked at the history of that religion to find out what it is really built on? Not many people. They will follow a religion because “everyone else does” or “because they like their building” or “I just felt the need to belong”. » Posted By SueInCa On November 16, 2010 @ 4:31 pm Please, tear that price tag off! Ok Ok, I will ask, what is wysiwyg? And believe me you do have a knack for writing and should do it more often, as the spirit moves you that is. I have a very large and very active group of African American and Latino friends who are politically active. I got this email from one of them the other day. She is very active in her church and politics in Oakland. Apparently this is going around. I thought it was a pretty effective email to get the minority vote out this year although it is addressed to all Dems. “Subject: Message to Democrats: We must vote on November 2, like our lives depend on it, because it does. The Republican party has been hijacked by dangerous, radical hate mongers called the “Tea Party”. They are led by Glen Beck and Sara Palin whose only goal is to take down President Obama and the government. In any third world country this would be called a “Coup d’ Etat”. In America we fight “coups” at the ballot box. These people hate Blacks. They hate Latinos . They hate Muslims and have at times made many anti-Semitic statements. They hate Gays. They hate any moderate Republican who might be likely to cooperate with Obama. Their rallying cry? “We want to take back our country!! Take it back from whom? American soil is still wet with the blood of our ancestors who fought for our right to vote. And vote we must! The polls say Republicans are going to win enough votes to take over the senate and congress because Democrats lack the enthusiasm to vote. We must get as many people to the polls now as we did to vote for Obama. We don’t need enthusiasm. We need to vote out fear. Fear that these radicals could take this country back to Jim Crow and the hey-day of the Klu-Klux-Klan. Don’t think it could happen? Just stay home on election day and see what happens to this country. Time is very short. Don’t leave the voting to the other guy. Vote Democratic ticket for Governor, and especially senator and congressman. Try to reach as many people as you can, like African drums across America . Forward this E-mail to at least 15 people and please keep it going pretty much like a chain letter. We can’t break the chain or we may find ourselves in chains once more!!” » Posted By SueInCa On October 27, 2010 @ 12:08 pm Mine too Bito » Posted By SueInCa On October 27, 2010 @ 11:55 am Anyone seen this? Not that I don’t think they should be helped, they should, but using God and the Bible to pull them in and manage to make that particular denomination the savior is disgusting. I prefer the free will and hand up approach. To me they are preying on people who are weak already and are susceptible to dogma. Their first efforts should be to turn that person around and help them to become once again a productive member of society. Either they have no intention of truly helping that person or they fear if that person became once again productive and realized their self worth, the dogma might not be as powerful? » Posted By SueInCa On October 27, 2010 @ 10:50 am In some way, probably but they are the 7 Mountains gang. You know the ones who are taking over our culture bit by bit? I just never heard them called that. Campus Crusade for Christ would have rung a bell immediately. Thanks Bito » Posted By SueInCa On October 26, 2010 @ 1:31 pm Choice Lady Now, you know I have no argument with anything you have said here. The term you used, Christian Embassy, is that a real name of a group? If it is, you know I am going to learn all about them. I am so sorry you had to go through so much and especially for your friends. It is no different than being a martyr for “Muhammed the Profit” which these people deride all the time. We have revealed alot to her over the years as she has mellowed but that is one thing I have never talked to her about. It may be time LOL. You sound alot like me in the religious arena. You know my husband and I are not regular attendees but we never stopped our kids from choosing. My son is more institutionally religous than my daughter. She is more a free spirit like me. My husband is more like my son. This is how cults thrive. This is how fundamentalists sects thrive. It is the reason most people, if you ask them about the beliefs or doctrine of their church, will look at you like you are giving them a test or something. And most will not have the answers either.
What a great analogy. Do you mind if I use it in other blogs? It is really a great way to get people’s attention. You really should write more. I loved it!
If You’re Out There
Have you also seen Orwell Rolls in his Grave? It is even more chilling to me. I have watched both many times.
I know as much as most or maybe more than most what they are up to and I don’t like it one bit. Maybe I should say it terrifies me. I try to do what I can by talking to people and speaking up but it just feels like I could be doing more. I am amazed at the number of people who follow this crap blindly. But I also understand the need for an authoritarian leader who can make decisions for the people who are not capable themselves.
From what I know about you and your blogging, this would seem the perfect blend of fellowship for you with your appreciation of world religions. I had heard of them but never really delved into it. Thanks to your vid, I will look at them further.
