I agree this is a safe place where you can voice your opinion and even though people may disagree with you, they respond with civility. None of us thinks the same way on everything and I know I have some beliefs that others would not agree with here but, I can write about them, comment about them and the most I will get is a rousing response from someone who may think differently. How else can we learn and make sure our method of thinking is correct without looking at other points of view? We simply cannot. Then I think about the people who have died, and still ask myself, “what about Darfur, Somalia, Ethiopia, Kosovo, Germany, Iraq, Greece, Turkey, Columbia, South Carolina and their homeless resolution? It seems to me we are only concerned when someone gets the itch to play with weapons. You better check your messages, you never know. I also believe in intervention but I believe it should be undertaken equally for any population, not willy nilly like we always seem to do. I do have to wonder, if Japan had never attacked Pearl, would the ending have been different? As far as 1943 we were relying on the Swiss to give us the word on concentration camps, and they were inspecting only what the Germans allowed. Then we go in as liberators and change the literal history of that war to make ouselves heroes. Where is the intervention when a corporation kills 1200 people because they refused to provide a decent workplace? If you are going to attack a country’s leader, why then not a CEO? I know this is all literal and I do think in literal terms but I also know that is not the way of this world.. That much I do know. I also realize the world has to take action, not just the US. I just become frustrated when bombs are the line of attack. None of us knows what could be the catalyst for another world war.
